General form of quadratic equation is ax² + bx + c = 0
a is coefficient of x²
b is coefficient of x
c is the constant

from -2x² + 4x - 3 = 0
the coefficient of x² is -2, therefore a = -2
the coefficient of x is 4, therefore b = 4
the constant is -3, therefore c = -3
The answer option 4

Solve using elimination

2x+5y=34
x+2y=14
Darina [25.2K]

2x + 5y = 34

x+2y = 14

Multiply the second equation by two to create like terms for one variable.

2(x+2y = 14)

2x + 4y = 28

2x + 5y = 34

2x + 4y = 28 -- Subtract.

y = 34.28 = 6

Solve for x

x + 2(6) = 14

x + 12 = 14

x = 2

Check:

2 + 2(6) = 14

2 + 12 = 14

14 = 14

Answer:

X = 2

Y = 6

Find the triangle of the following figure: A. 30cm2 B: 36cm2 C. 18cm2 D. 15cm2
hram777 [196]

Answer:

D. 15cm2

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the area of a triangle, you multiply the base (10cm) and height of the triangle (3cm) and divide that by 2. So 10×3=30. Then, you need to divide this by 2. Since 30 is an even number, you won't get a decimal. So 30/2=15. And dont forget your units!
