The answer for the following problem is mentioned below.

  • <u><em>Therefore number of molecules(N) present in the calcium phosphate sample are  19.3 × 10^23 molecules.</em></u>

Explanation:

Given:

mass of calcium phosphate (Ca_{3}(PO_{4} )_{2} ) = 125.3 grams

We know;

molar mass of calcium phosphate  (Ca_{3}(PO_{4} )_{2} ) = (40×3) + 3 (31 +(4×16))

molar mass of calcium phosphate  (Ca_{3}(PO_{4} )_{2} ) = 120 + 3(95)

molar mass of calcium phosphate  (Ca_{3}(PO_{4} )_{2} )  = 120 +285 = 405 grams

<em>We also know;</em>

No of molecules at STP conditions(N_{A}) = 6.023 × 10^23 molecules

To solve:

no of molecules present in the sample(N)

We know;

\frac{m}{M} =\frac{N} }{}N÷N_{A}

\frac{405}{125.3} =\frac{N}{6.023*10^23}

N =(405×6.023 × 10^23) ÷ 125.3

N = 19.3 × 10^23 molecules

<u><em>Therefore number of molecules(N) present in the calcium phosphate sample are  19.3 × 10^23 molecules</em></u>

Anton [14]

Answer:

1. 0.02 M

2. 0.01 M

3. 4×10⁻⁶

Explanation:

We know that V₁S₁ = V₂S₂

1.

Concentration of HCl = 0.05 M

end point comes at = 10 ml

So, concentration of OH⁻(aq) = [OH⁻(aq)] ⇒ (0.05 × 10) ÷ 25 ⇒ 0.02 M

2.

2mol of OH⁻(aq) ≡ 1 mole of Ca²⁺(aq)

[Ca²⁺] = 0.02 ÷ 2 = 0.01 M

3.

K_{sp} = [Ca²⁺(aq)] [OH⁻(aq)]²

Ca(OH)₂ (aq) ⇄ Ca²⁺ (aq) + 2OH⁻ (aq)

K_{sp} = [0.01 × (0.02)²] = 4×10⁻⁶

4.

If reaction is exothermic which means heat energy will get evolved as a result temperature of the reaction media will get increased during the course of the reaction. If temperature is externally increased, the reaction will go backward to accumulate extra heat energy.

5.

K_{sp} value describes the solubility of a particular ionic compound. The higher the K_{sp} value, the higher the Solubility will be.

6.

This may be due to uncommon ion effect. The process of other ions (K⁺ or Na⁺) may increase the solubility

A goldsmith melts 12.4 grams of gold to make a ring. The temperature of the gold rises from 26°C to 1064°C, and then the gold me
DiKsa [7]

Problem One

You will use both m * c * deltaT and H = m * heat of fusion.

Givens

m = 12.4 grams

c = 0.1291

t1 = 26oC

t2 = 1204

heat of fusion (H_f) = 63.5 J/grams.

Equation

H = m * c * deltaT + m * H_f

Solution

H = 12.4 * 0.1291 * (1063 - 26) + 12.4 * 63.5

H = 1660.1 + 787.4

H = 2447.5 or 2447.47 is the exact answer. I have to leave the rounding to you. I have no idea where to round it although I suspect 2450 would be right for 3 sig digs.

Problem Two

Formula and Givens

t1 = 14.5

t2 = 50.0

E = 5680

c = 4.186

m = ??

E = m c * deltaT

Solution

5680 = m * 4.186 * (50 - 14.5)

5680 = m * 4.186 * (35.5)

5680 = m * 148.603 * m

m = 5680 / 148.603

m = 38.22 grams That isn't very much. Be very sure you are working in joules. You'd leave that many grams in the kettle after drying it thoroughly.

m = 38.2 to 3 sig digs.
