A molecule is the general term used to describe any atoms that are connected by chemical bonds. Every combination of atoms is a molecule. A compound is a molecule made of atoms from different elements. All compounds are molecules, but not all molecules are compounds

A model rocket is launched directly upward at a speed of 16 meters per second from a height of 2 meters. The function f(t)=−4.9t
Crank

Answer:

Hmax=15.06 meters

Explanation:The question ask for the maximum value of the function f(t) which can be find by find the maxima of the function

The maxima of the function occurs when the slope is zero. i.e.

\frac{df}{dt} =0\\\frac{df}{dt} =\frac{d}{dt} (-4.9t^2+16t+2)\\\frac{df}{dt} =-4.9*2t+16\\-9.8t+16=0\\t=16/9.8\\t=1.63 secs

Hence the maxima occurs at t=1.63 seconds

The maximum value of f is

f(1.63)=-4.9(1.63^2)+16(1.63)+2\\f(1.63)=15.06\\

hence maximum height is found to be

Hmax=15.06 meters

Simon is riding a bike at 12 km/h away from his friend Keesha.He throws a ball at 5 km/h back to Keesha, who is standing still o
Tems11 [23]

I notice that even though we're working with frames of reference
here, you never said which frame the '5 km/hr' is measured in.

In fact !  You didn't even say which frame the '12 km/hr' of his
bike is measured in.

So there are several different ways this could go.  I'll do it the way
I THINK you meant it, but that doesn't guarantee anything.

-- Simon is riding his bike at 12 km/hr relative to the sidewalk,
away from Keesha.

-- He throws a ball at Keesha, at 5 km/hr relative to his own face.

-- Keesha sees the ball approaching her at (12 - 5) = 7 km/hr
relative to the ground and to her.

A medical cyclotron used in the production of medical isotopes accelerates protons to 6.5 MeV. The magnetic field in the cyclotr
mart [117]

Answer:

diameter of largest orbit is 0.60 m

Explanation:

given data

isotopes accelerates KE = 6.5 MeV

magnetic field B = 1.2 T

to find out

diameter

solution

first we find velocity from kinetic energy equation

KE = 1/2 × m×v²   ........1

6.5 × 1.6 × 10^{-19} = 1/2 × 1.672 × 10^{-27} ×v²

v = 3.5 × 10^{7} m/s

so

radius will be

radius = \frac{m*v}{B*q}   ........2

radius =  \frac{1.672*10^{-27}*3.5*10^{7}}{1.2*1.6*10^{-19}}

radius = 0.30

so diameter = 2 × 0.30

so diameter of largest orbit is 0.60 m
