Place a length of wire around the spinning magnet, and an electric current (moving electrons) will occur in the wire. This is called induction. If you wrap the wire multiple times around, you increase the amount of current induced. You can verify this if you have a very sensitive ammeter to measure the current with.

Objective: estimate the error in the vector sum.

Let A = u + du; where u is the nominal value of A and du is the error in A
Let B = v + dv; where v is the nominal value of B and dv is the error in B
Let C = w + dw; where w is the nominal value of C and dw is the error in C [the objective]

Suppose a 65.5 kg gymnast climbs a rope. What is the tension in the rope if she climbs at a constant speed
natali 33 [55]

The tension in the rope when the gymnast climbs it at constant speed is 641.9 N.

Given:

Mass of gymnast, m = 65.5 kg

The speed 'v' of gymnast is constant

Solution:

Consider the free-body diagram of the system as shown below.

Balancing forces along the vertical axis we get:

ΣFy = 0

Thus, we get:

F = ma     - (1)

where, m is mass of gymnast

            a is acceleration of gymnast (a = 0m/s², as the speed is constant)

Also,

F = T - mg          -(2)

where, T is tension in the rope

           g is acceleration due to gravity

Equating (1) & (2), we get:

ma = T - mg

Re-arranging the equation, we get:

T = m(a+g)

Applying values in above equation we get:

T = (65.5 kg)(0 m/s²+9.8 m/s²)

T = 641.9 N

Therefore, the tension in the rope when the gymnast climbs it at constant speed is 641.9 N.

How long does it take a person at rest to breathe one mole of air if the person breathes 77.0 ml/s of air that is measured at 25
Natali5045456 [20]
320. seconds The ideal gas law is PV = nRT where P = pressure of the gas V = volume of the gas n = number of moles of the gas R = the ideal gas constant T = absolute temperature of the gas. Since we're going to want the volume, solve for V PV = nRT V = nRT/P 755 mmHg converts to 100658.11 Pascals 25 C = 298.15 K Let's calculate nT/P, then we'll multiply by R 1 mol * 298.15 K / 100658.11 Pa = 0.002962007 K mol/Pa The value for R in the most convenient units is 8.3144598 m^3 Pa/(K mol), so 0.002962007 K mol/Pa * 8.3144598 m^3 Pa/(K mol) = 0.024627486 m^3 So 1 mole of air at the specified temperature and pressure has a volume of 24.627 liters. The rest of the problem is now trivial. Just divide by the rate of consumption, so 24.627 l / 0.0770 l/s = 319.8374798 s Rounding the result to 3 significant figures gives 320. seconds.
