Answer:

The time taken by fight is 3 hours and 38 minutes.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Roger's flight took off at 9:27 a.m. The flight is scheduled to land at 1:05 p.m. If the flight lands on schedule.

To find : How long is the flight?

Solution :

The flight is scheduled to land at 1:05 p.m.

Roger's flight took off at 9:27 a.m.

Taking the scenario according to clock,

Time taken from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm is 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Flight take off at 9:27 am i.e. 3 minutes more.

Flight reached at 1:05 pm i.e. 5 minutes more.

So, In 30 minutes we have to add 3 min and add 5 minutes.

= 30+3+5=38 minutes

Therefore, The time taken by fight is 3 hours and 38 minutes.

Fofino [41]
Draw a rectangle with one side equal to 84 in. and the other side equal to 65 in. We know that area = l*w, so the area of the rectangle is 5,460 sq. in. Since Mr. Horn cut the piece of plywood in half, he produces two identical pieces of plywood, with half the amount of area as the original. So, 5,460 sq. in. divided by 2 = 2,730 sq. in.

Explain why the sum or product of rational numbers is rational; why the sum of a rational number and an irrational number is irr
Colt1911 [192]

Answer:

Rational numbers are fractional numbers, whose numerator and denominator are integers and the denominator is ever zero.

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum of rational numbers gives a rational number;

   \frac{1}{3}  + \frac{1}{3} = \frac{2}{3} , because the evaluation of the denominator always results to a non-zero integer.

The product of  \frac{1}{3} x \frac{1}{3} = \frac{1}{9}, which multiply both numerator and denominator to give integer numbers.

The sum and product of rational and irrational numbers are always irrational numbers, for instance,

           \frac{1}{3} x 7 = 2.3 , which is a number which decimal points that can only be represented by the product irrational number and rational number , where 7 is an irrational number.

       \frac{1}{3} + 7 =  7\frac{1}{3} , which is a whole number and fractional number combined.

when camping alone , mr adam uses all of the water in 12 days, then when mrs adams and mr adams camp together they use all of th
professor190 [17]

Using the together rate, it is found that if Mrs Adams camps alone, she will use all the water in 24 hours.

<h3>What is the together rate?</h3>

The together rate is the sum of each separate rate.

In this problem, the rates are:

  • Together: 1/8.
  • Mr Adam: 1/12.
  • Mrs Adams: 1/x.

Hence:

\frac{1}{12} + \frac{1}{x} = \frac{1}{8}

\frac{x + 12}{12x} = \frac{1}{8}

12x = 8x + 96

4x = 96

x = \frac{96}{4}

x = 24

If Mrs Adams camps alone, she will use all the water in 24 hours.
