Density of the gas is 3.05 × 10⁻³ g / cm³.

Explanation:

Volume of the cylinder = π r² h

where r is the radius and h is the height of the height or the length of the glass tube.

Here r = 4 cm and h = 27.4 cm

Volume of the cylinder = 3.14 × 4 × 4 × 27.4 = 1376.6 cm³

We have to find the mass of the gas by subtracting the mass of the tube filled with the substance from the mass of the empty tube.

Mass of the substance = 258.5 - 254.3 = 4.2 g

We have to find the density using the formula as,

$ Density = \frac{mass}{volume}

Plugin the values as,

$ Density = \frac{4.2}{1376.6}

              = 3.05 × 10⁻³ g / cm³

So the Density of the gas is 3.05 × 10⁻³ g / cm³.

A solution of hydrocloric acid has a molarity of 2.25 M HCl. If a reaction requires 5.80 g of HCI, what
Natali [406]

Answer:

0.071L

Explanation:

From the question given, we obtained the following data:

Molarity of HCl = 2.25 M

Mass of HCl = 5.80g

Molar Mass of HCl = 36.45g/mol

Number of mole of HCl =?

Number of mole = Mass /Molar Mass

Number of mole of HCl = 5.8/36.45 = 0.159mole

Now, we can obtain the volume required as follows:

Molarity = mole /Volume

Volume = mole /Molarity

Volume = 0.159mole/ 2.25

Volume = 0.071L

Answer:

Relative humidity

Explanation:

A psychrometer measures the relative humidity in the atmosphere with the help of two thermometers:

1) A dry bulb thermometer:

It is used to measure the temperature by being exposed to the air.

2) A wet bulb thermometer:

It measures temperature by having the bulb dipped in a liquid.

Thermal energy is the _____ and internal energy is the _____
Lubov Fominskaja [6]

Answer:

Average kinetic energy of the particles in an object.

Total energy of particles in an object.

Explanation:

Thermal energy is the _average kinetic energy of the particles in an object____ and internal energy is the ___total energy of particles in an object__.

Thermal energy is a form of kinetic energy. Kinetic energy is due the change in position of a body or the motion of a body. When we apply thermal energy to a system, the particles gain kinetic energy which causes the motion of its particles.

The internal energy of system is the sum of all the total energy of particles contained in the object. It is given as the change between the kinetic and potential energy of a system.
