Finger [1]
The purpose of an universal indicator is to test wether a solution is acid or if its a base. It changes colors according to the PH's. It helps a lot in the indication of a chemical reaction because it can say if each component loses or gains protons depending upon the acidity or basicity of the solution being tested. An universal indicator can say if a determined solution proves to be endothermic or exothermic. If the solution is not tested as acid or base then we cannot knwo if there will be an endothermic reaction or an exhotermic one

positive ions are smaller than the ions from which they are formed but negative ions are larger than the is from which they are
Vadim26 [7]
Positive ions are atoms that have lost an electron from its outtermost shell. It is positive because electrons are negative and the loss of something negative makes it a bit more positive.
A negative ion is larger than its original atom because it's gained an electron.

The more electrons an atomic has on its electron cloud, the bigger the atom.

Hopefully I didn't confuse you, good luck. ♡

How many moles of NO2 form when
63.25 g N2O5 decompose?

2N₂O54NO₂ + O₂
KonstantinChe [14]

Answer:

1.1713 moles

Explanation:

RFM of N2O5=108

Moles of N2O5= mass/RFM= 63.25/108=0.5856 moles

Mole ratio of N2O5:NO2= 2:4

Therefore moles of NO2= 4/2*0.5856= 1.1713 moles
