Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

At the end of 8 hours, the car and truck were 1048 miles apart. So they were traveling 1048/8 = 131 miles per hour apart.

The car traveled 19 miles per hour faster than the truck. So car speed = truck speed + 19

Substituting, truck speed + truck speed + 19 = 131

2x truck speed = 112

Truck speed = 56 miles per hour

Car speed = 56 + 19 = 75 miles per hour

Truck speed be x
car travel at x+19
they travel in opposite directions
so the separation is (x+x+19) * no. of hours
1048 = (2x+19)*8
x = ((1048/8) - 19)/2
=56

truck speed is 56 miles per hour
car speed is 56+19 = 75 miles per hour

Please help!! <br>circles combos are too hard
malfutka [58]

Answer:

56 + 53pi

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>Area of small circles:</em></u>

diameter of small circle: 4cm

forumla to find area of circle: A = pir^2

r is radius = half of diameter -> d/2 = 4 / 2 = 2cm

A = pi (2cm)^2

A = pi (4cm)

A = 4pi

<u><em>Area of large circle:</em></u>

diameter of small circle: 4cm

forumla to find area of circle: A = pir^2

r is radius = half of diameter -> d/2 = 14 / 2 = 7cm

A = pi (7cm)^2

A = pi (49cm)

A = 49pi

<u><em>Area of rectangle:</em></u>

Area = width x length

Area = 14cm x 4cm

Area = 56cm

<u><em>Add all three areas:</em></u>

Area of rectangle + large circle + small circle

56cm + 49pi + 4pi = 56cm + 53pi

What is the area of the shaded sector
Whitepunk [10]

Answer:

Area = 634.21 square metre

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of shaded region = Area of the circle - Area of the sector

Area \ of \ the \ circle = \pi r^2 = 225 \pi\\\\Area \ of \ the \ sector = \pi r^2 \frac{ \theta}{360} = \pi \times 225 \times \frac{37}{360}

Area \ of \ shaded \ region = 225 \pi - (225 \pi \times  \frac{37}{360})

                                   = 225 \pi (1 - \frac{37}{360})\\\\= 225 \pi \times 0.89722\\\\=634.21 m^2
