In a solid the atoms are tightly packed together meaning that they vibrate in place slowly. In a liquid the energy gets faster and they have enough space between each other where they can move past one another. And in a gas the particles are moving very fast and they are spread out even further than a liquid.

An automobile tire is rated to last for 60,000 miles. to an order of magnitude, through how many revolutions will it turn?
Nastasia [14]

Let the average diameter of the automobile tire is about 2 feet. Therefore its circumference is 2 feet\times \pi =6.29 feet.

Now we have to convert an automobile tire is rated to last for 60,000 miles in to feet.

As 1 miles =5280 feet .

So, 60000 miles = 60000\times 5280 feet =316800000 feet

Thus the number of revolutions,

\frac{316800000 feet }{6.29 feet} =50365659.8 revolutions \\\\=5.0\times10^7 rev

Hence, order of magnitude of revolutions is 7.

Find the current in amperes if 96 mC of charge pass through a wire in 8.4 s.
olganol [36]

Answer:

Approximately 11.43

Explanation:

Using the formula charge=current×time

then current=charge/time. That then will be C=96/8.4=11.4285714286 so approximately 11.43

Suppose a child drives a bumper car head on into the side rail which exerts a force of 4000 N on the car for 0.200 s. What impul
Ghella [55]

Por the impulse, use the formula:

I = F * t

Now, we know:

4000 N = 4000 kg*m/s²

Replacing we have:

I = 4000 kg*m/s² * 0,200 s

Resolving:

I = 800 kg.m/s²

The impulse is 800 kg.m/s²
