Answer: The question from the attachment states;

Plants produce glucose from carbondioxide and water during photosynthesis, glucose and it's derivatives are the building materials of plants.

From where does the majority of the bulk of a tress come from?

The correct answer to the question is option B.

THE AIR.

Explanation:

Trees get most of their bulkiness/mass from the carbondioxide in the atmosphere/air.

The carbon that makes up most of the bulkiness of a tree comes from carbondioxide during photosynthesis.

In the process of photosynthesis, plant converts the energy gotten from the sun into chemical energy,this chemical energy is captured in the bonds of carbon molecules that are formed from the water and carbondioxide in the atmosphere.

Plants on the other hand make use of the energy from the carbon molecules,these energy is used for certain metabolic activities to keep the plant alive, healthy,thriving and also carryout reproductive processes.

The glucose from the carbon molecules are then utilized by the plant to form their complex structures like the stem,branches, leaves,roots,fruits,nuts,seeds and vegetables.

As the year goes by,the tree utilizes the carbon molecules that are left over from the the previous years to add to themselves,this in-turn makes the trees bigger in mass,size and height as the case may be.

Answer:

T_s = 6.8 degree C

Explanation:

As per thermal radiation we know that rate is heat radiation is given as

\frac{dQ}{dt} = \sigma eA (T^4 - T_s^4)

here we know that

T = 34 degree C = 307 K

A = 1.38 m^2

e = 0.557

\sigma = 5.67 \times 10^{-8} W/m^2K^4

\frac{dQ}{dt} = 120 J/s

now we have

120 = (5.67 \times 10^{-8})(0.557)(1.38)(307^4 - T_s^4)

120 = (4.36 \times 10^{-8})(307^4 - T_s^4)

T_s = 279.8 K

T_s = 6.8 degree C

A small apple weighs 0.8N. How much would an apple that is 4 times as massive weigh?
-BARSIC- [3]

Answer:

W=31.99 N

Explanation:

W= 8 N (N= kg*m/ s^2)

W= m* g

8 N= m * 9.8 m/s^2

m= 0.816 kg

m*4= (0.816)4

= 3.264 kg

W= mg

= (3.264 kg)(9.8 m/s^2)

W=31.99 N
