Answer:

the surface area of the right rectangular prism is, 1205.62 cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Surface area of the right rectangular prism(S) is given by:

S=2(lw+wh+hl)         ....[1]

where

l is the length , w is the width and h is the height of the rectangular prism.

As per the statement:

A right rectangular prism has a length of 20.2 cm, a width of 9.1 cm and a height of 14.3 cm.

⇒ l = 20.2 cm , w = 9.1 cm and h = 14.3 cm

Substitute these in [1] we have;

S = 2(20.2 \cdot 9.1+9.1 \cdot 14.3+14.3 \cdot 20.2)

⇒S = 2(183.82+130.13+288.86) = 2(602.81) = 1205.62 cm^2

therefore, the surface area of the right rectangular prism is, 1205.62 cm^2

Two opposite sides of a rectangle are each of length x. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 12, then the area, as a function of
Reil [10]

Answer: x(6-x)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Two opposite sides of a rectangle are each of length x.

Let the other adjacent side be y.

The perimeter of the rectangle is 12 units.

Perimeter of rectangle is given by :-

P=2(\text{Sum of adjacent sides})\\\\\Rightarrow\ 12=2(x+y)\\\\\Rightarrow\ x+y=\dfrac{12}{2}=6\\\\\Rightarriow\ y=6-x

The area of rectangle is given by :-

A=\text{product of two adjacent sides}\\\\\Rightarrow\ A=xy=x(6-x)

Hence, the area as a function x = x(6-x)

5 years ago, my grandfather was five times as old as I was. Three years from now, my grandfather will be three times as old as I
balu736 [363]
<h3>Answer:</h3>

13 years old

<h3>Explanation:</h3>

Let g and m represent grandfather's age now and my age now. The relation 5 years ago was ...

... g -5 = 5(m -5)

The relation in 3 years will be ...

... g +3 = 3(m +3)

Subtracting the first equation from the second, we get ...

... 8 = -2m +34

... 2m = 26 . . . . . add 2m-8

... m = 13

My age now is 13.

Can someone please help me with this question.
GenaCL600 [577]

A different way to do this is doing adding

1.) 3/4 + 3/4 + 3/4 + 3/4 = 12/4 = 3

Another way is reducing

12/4 = 3

I hope this helps
