Answer:

Final temperature is 295K

Explanation:

Where the sample of copper is placed in the water, the heat transferred from the copper is equal that the heat absorbed by the water.

The heat transferred from the copper is:

C×\frac{1mol}{63,546g}×mass×ΔT

Where C is molar heat capacity of copper (24,5J/molK)

Mass is 25,0g

And ΔT is final temperature - initial temperature (X-363K)

Also, the heat absorbed by the water is:

-C×\frac{1mol}{18,02g}×mass×ΔT

Where C is molar heat capacity of water (75,2J/molK)

Mass is 100,0g

And ΔT is final temperature - initial temperature (X-293K)

As heat transferred is equal to heat absorbed:

24,5J/molK×\frac{1mol}{63,546g}×25,0g×(X-363K) = -75,2J/molK×\frac{1mol}{18,02g}×100,0g× (X-293K)

9,64X J/K - 3499J = - 417X J/K + 122273J

426,64X J/K = 125772 J

<em>X = 295K</em>

<em></em>

Final temperature is 295K

I hope it helps!

A cross-country skier can complete a 7.5 km race in 45 min. What is the skier’s average speed?
Alecsey [184]
To calculate for the average speed, we simply divide the total distance covered by the time it takes to travel that distance. In this case, we simply divide 7.5 km with 45 min. Therefore, the skier's average speed is 0.1667 km/min. Hope this helps.

A laser beam of wavelength λ=632.8 nm shines at normal incidence on the reflective side of a compact disc. The tracks of tiny pi
Juliette [100K]

To solve this problem we will apply the concepts given by the principles of superposition, specifically those described by Bragg's law in constructive interference.

Mathematically this relationship is given as

dsin\theta = n\lambda

Where,

d = Distance between slits

\lambda = Wavelength

n = Any integer which represent the number of repetition of the spectrum

\theta = sin^{-1} (\frac{n\lambda}{d})

Calculating the value for n, we have

n = 1

\theta_1 = sin^{-1} (\frac{\lambda}{d})\\\theta_1 = sin^{-1} (\frac{632.8*10^{-9}}{1.6*10^{-6}})\\\theta_1 = 23.3\°

n=2

\theta_2 = sin^{-1} (\frac{2\lambda}{d})\\\theta_2 = sin^{-1} (2\frac{632.8*10^{-9}}{1.6*10^{-6}})\\\theta_2 = 52.28\°

n =3

\theta_2 = sin^{-1} (\frac{2\lambda}{d})\\\theta_2 = sin^{-1} (3\frac{632.8*10^{-9}}{1.6*10^{-6}})\\\theta_2 = \text{not possible}

Therefore the intensity of light be maximum for angles 23.3° and 52.28°
