Answer:

The correct answer would be option D, Consciousness has a hidden part that stays in contact with reality and feels pain while another part of consciousness feels no pain.

Explanation:

Hypnosis is a state in which a person loses his control over voluntary actions but is highly responsive to suggestions and directions. A person who is being hypnotized answers the questions which are stored in his memory back in times and is unable to revive it when in the natural state. Sometimes hypnosis is also used to make a person speak about the things which he doesn't say in the normal state. So it means his consciousness has a hidden part that stays in contact with reality and feels pain while another part feels no pain.

D. consciousness has a hidden part that stays in contact with reality and feels pain while another part of consciousness feels no pain.

Further explanation

Hypnosis is a mental condition (according to state theory) or the enactment of an imaginative role (according to non-state theory) People who carry out the process of hypnosis (giving suggestions) to the subject are called hypnosis. Hypnosis is usually caused by a procedure known as hypnosis induction, which generally consists of a long series of initial instructions and suggestions. Hypnosis suggestion can be conveyed by a hypnotist in the presence of the subject, or maybe done by the subject (Self-hypnosis).

Hypnosis is generally associated with the introduction of a procedure as long as the subject is suggested to experience an imaginative experience. Hypnotic induction is a broad initial suggestion using one's imagination and may contain further details on its introduction. A hypnosis procedure is usually used to provide support and evaluate suggestion responses. When using hypnosis, a person (subject) is led by another person (hypnotist) to respond to suggestions for changes in subjective experiences, changes in perception, sensations, emotions, thoughts or behavior. The person can also learn self-hypnosis which is an action to regulate hypnosis procedures of the person's will. If the subject responds to hypnotic suggestions, it generally indicates that hypnosis has been successfully performed. Many people believe that the response of hypnosis and experience are characteristic of the hypnotic state. On the other hand, it is believed that the use of the word hypnosis is not necessary as part of hypnotic induction, while the other party believes that this is important.

Egocentrism is the correct answer.

Egocentrism, in psychology, the cognitive shortcomings that underlie the failure, in both children and adults, to recognize the idiosyncratic nature of one's knowledge or the subjective nature of one's perceptions.

Egocentrism refers to someone's inability to understand that another person's view or opinion may be different than their own. 1 It represents a cognitive bias, in that someone would assume that others share the same perspective as they do, unable to imagine that other people would have a perception of their own.

Due to egocentrism, the child is only concerned with the final outcome of an event rather than another's intentions. For example, if someone breaks the child's toy, the child would not forgive the other and the child would not be able to understand that the person who broke the toy did not intend to break it.
