1) Thermal insulators are materials that slow down heat conductions, so they are used to prevent heat from going from one environment to another (for example, they are used in the walls of the houses, the keep the heat inside the house (in winter) or outside the house (in summer).
Examples of thermal insulators are fiberglass, plastic and air.

2) Thermal conductors are materials that allow rapid heat conduction, so they are used to transfer heat from one place to another.
Examples of thermal conductors are metals, for example silver and gold.

A pendulum with a mass of 0.100 kg was released. The string made a
Kazeer [188]

The bob passes the lowest point <em><u>twice</u></em> during every complete swing.

The period of this pendulum is <em>0.2 seconds</em>.

Frequency = 1/period

Frequency = 1/0.2 sec

<em>Frequency = 5 Hz.</em>  (A very very very short, fast pendulum.)

Note:

The mass of the bob, the angle from the vertical (as long as it's small), the color of the string, and the day of the week have no effect on the period.  Only the length of the string has.

Milk with a density of 1020 kg/m3 is transported on a level road in a 9-m-long, 3-m-diameter cylindrical tanker. The tanker is c
jeka57 [31]

Solution :

Given data is :

Density of the milk in the tank, $\rho = 1020 \ kg/m^3$

Length of the tank, x = 9 m

Height of the tank, z = 3 m

Acceleration of the tank, $a_x = 2.5 \ m/s^2$

Therefore, the pressure difference between the two points is given by :

$P_2-P_1 = -\rho a_x x - \rho(g+a)z$

Since the tank is completely filled with milk, the vertical acceleration is $a_z = 0$

$P_2-P_1 = -\rho a_x x- \rho g z$

Therefore substituting, we get

$P_2-P_1=-(1020 \times 2.5 \times 7) - (1020 \times 9.81 \times 3)$

           $=-17850 - 30018.6$

           $=-47868.6 \ Pa$

           $=-47.868 \ kPa$

Therefore the maximum pressure difference in the tank is Δp = 47.87 kPa and is located at the bottom of the tank.

What is the radius of a force?
vazorg [7]

Answer:

this kind of force is proportional directly to the speed of the object and inversely to the radius of the curved path. Therefore, Hence, the force becomes 2.25 times the original force.
