Answer:

The information necessary would be Nos. 1 (milligrams of Ca), 2 (molar mass of hydroxide) and 4 (molar mass of Calcium)

Explanation:

The calculation of the moles of hydroxide would be the usual stoichiometric calculations, where all that is required is the mass and molar mass of reactants and products, depending on the variable in question. Hence, volume and molarity are not necessarily required to determine amount of product.

The information necessary would be Nos. 1 (milligrams of Ca), 2 (molar mass of hydroxide) and 4 (molar mass of Calcium)

The reaction equation is:

Ca(OH)_{2} → Ca^{2+} + 2 OH^{-}

N.B. Calcium hydroxide only slightly dissolves in water to form as lightly basic solution; the solubility is increased by increase in temperature.

30.0 ml of an hf solution were titrated with 22.15 ml of a 0.122 m koh solution to reach the equivalence point. what is the mola
a_sh-v [17]
Answer is: molarity of hydrofluoric solution is 0.09 M.

Chemical reaction: HF(aq) + KOH(aq) → KF(aq) + H₂O(l).
V(HF) = 30.0 mL.
c(KOH) = 0.122 M.
V(KOH) = 22.15 mL:
c(HF) = ?.
From chemical reaction: n(HF) : n(KOH) = 1 : 1.
n(HF) = n(KOH).
c(HF) · V(HF) = c(KOH) · V(KOH).
c(HF) = c(KOH) · V(KOH) ÷ V(HF).
c(HF) = 0.122 M · 22.15 mL ÷ 30 mL:
c(HF) = 0.09 M.

How does the density of a gas affect the speed of sound
ZanzabumX [31]

Increased density decreases the speed of sound in a medium. While increased density can mean increased rigidity, or stiffness, it is not always the case. Greater density can be due to each molecule or atom having more momentum, and being slower to respond to the vibration of its neighbor.

What reaction might we use to synthesize nickel sulfate, NiSO4?
guapka [62]

As I understand from your question, we should synthesize nickel sulfate first from nickel (II) oxide and sulfuric acid and second from nickel carbonate and sulfuric acid.

The chemical reactions will look like this:

NiO (s) + H₂SO₄ (aq) → NiSO₄ (aq) + H₂O (l)

NiCO₃ (aq)* + H₂SO₄ → NiSO₄ (aq) + H₂CO₃ (aq)

but carbonic acid will decompose to carbon dioxide and water

H₂CO₃ (aq) → CO₂ (g) + H₂O (l)

(*) NiCO₃ has a poor solubility in water, but enough to start the reaction.
