How many solutions does the equation 4p + 7 = 3 + 4 + 4p have?

Mathematics

KatRina [158]3 years ago
3 0

Let's solve the given equation to get the answer.

4p + 7 = 3 + 4 + 4p

4p+7=7+4p By simplifying.

4p+7-4p=7+4p-4p By subtracting 4p from each sides.

7=7

From the above result notice that p has vanish and we are left with 7=7.

So, there is infinitely many solutions.

Rectangle RSTU and the image R’S’T’U’ are graphed on the coordinate grid below.
Ksju [112]

The rectangle  R’S’T’U’ is a 90° counterclockwise rotation of RSTU so options (A) and (C) will be correct.

<h3>What is a rectangle?</h3>

The rectangle is a geometrical figure in which opposite sides are equal.

The angle between any two consecutive sides will be 90 degrees.

Area of rectangle = length × width.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2( length + width).

Given the rectangle RSTU if we plot it then it becomes a major horizontal rectangle.

If we transpose into R’S’T’U’ then it rotates 90 degrees counterclockwise and becomes a major vertical ractangle.

Hence the rectangle RSTU will rotate 90° counterclockwise to form  R’S’T’U’.

What are the coordinates of the fourth point that could be connected with (–8, 0), (1, 0), and (1, –5) to form a rectangle?
sergey [27]
(-8, -5)

To form a rectangle, all the lines must be perpendicular and parallel. If you draw out the points on a coordinate plane then you can find the answer pretty easily.

Also, this one is easy because all the lines are vertical or horizontal, and when that is the case then you can just see which number in the set hasn't appeared twice (1 appeared twice as an <em>x</em> value, 0 appeared twice as a <em>y </em>value, but -8 has only appeared once as an <em>x</em> and -5 has only appeared once as a <em>y </em>value)

Which one is correct ?
mina [271]

Answer:

Answer choice B

Step-by-step explanation:

The measures of angles on touching the opposite sides of the circles are always half the lengths of their respective arc. 126/2=63, or answer choice B. Hope this helps!

Change the fraction w-3/w+5 into an equivalent fraction with the denominator w2 + w – 20.
viktelen [127]
ANSWER

\frac{ {w}^{2}  - 7w + 12}{ {w}^{2}  + w - 20 }

EXPLANATION

The given fraction is,

\frac{w - 3}{w + 5}

To get an equivalent fraction, we multiply both the numerator and the denominator by the same quantity that will give us

w²+w-20

in the denominator.

This implies that,

\frac{w - 3}{w + 5}  =  \frac{(w - 3)(w - 4)}{(w + 5)(w - 4)}

We multiply out the numerators and denominators using the distributive property to obtain,

\frac{w - 3}{w + 5}  =  \frac{ {w}^{2}  - 4w - 3w + 12}{ {w}^{2} - 4w + 5w - 20 }

This simplifies to

\frac{w - 3}{w + 5}  =  \frac{ {w}^{2}  - 7w + 12}{ {w}^{2}  + w - 20 }
