Answer: CH

Explanation: To calculate the empirical formula of the compound we must first find the number of moles by using the mass of each element.

C= 92.31 g x 1mole C / 12 g C

= 7. 69 moles C

H = 7.69 g H x 1 mole H/ 1 g H

= 7.69 moles H

Next is divide each answer on the lowest number of moles

C = 7.69 / 7.69 = 1

H = 7.69 / 7.69 = 1

So the ratio is 1:1 or CH

what is the kinetic energy of the emitted electrons when cesium is exposed to uv rays of frequency 1.4×1015hz?
Anika [276]
The equation you used is KE=hv-hv0, where h=6.63*10^-34 (constant). You multiply h by 1.5*10^15. Multiply h by the threshold freq of cesium (from part A). Subtract the second answer from the first answer, and you get the kinetic energy. Hope this helps.

If the atomic number of an element is 6 and its mass number is 15, how many neutrons are in the atom's nucleus?
lozanna [386]

Atomic Number is the same as the number of protons in an element.
Mass Number is the number of Protons + Neutrons in an element.

Atomic Number: 6 means 6 Protons
Mass Number: 15 means 15 atoms that are a proton/neutron.
We are given out of the 15 atoms, 6 of them are protons, so the other 9 must be Neutrons.

15 - 6 = 9 so there must be 9 Neutrons.

There are 9 Neutrons in atom's nucleus.

Give Brainiest if you think this is the best answer and explanation. Thanks!
