The weight of 20 kg is

                             (mass) x (gravity) =

                                   (20 x 9.8) = 196 newtons, downward.

There must be a force of 196 newtons upward on the mass.
Otherwise the mass is accelerating either up or down.

Why is Saturn almost as big as Jupiter, despite its smaller mass?
gulaghasi [49]

Answer:

c. Jupiter's greater mass compresses it more, thus increasing its density.

Explanation:

The mass of Jupiter is greater in its interior, this mass compresses Jupiter to some extent. Thus, its density is increased. Now, more mass is compressed in the lesser volume. Hence, its size does not increase enormously. On the other hand the mass of Saturn is lesser  and also density lower. this gives Saturn a reasonably higher volume.

Hence, option C is correct.

I think the answer is: 6 inches

On average, the distance between Car's engine to the ground is around 8-10 inches.. But for small cars, the distance between car's engine to the ground could be as low as 5 inches - 6 inches from the ground.

When the flood reach the car's engine level, the water will got into the engine and disrupt it function, causing the car became unable to work properly

Answer:

1. T₁ = 500 N

2. T₂ = 866 N

Explanation:

Please see attached photo for the diagram.

Thus, we can obtain obtained the value of T₁ and T₂ as follow:

1. Determination of T₁

Angle θ = 30

Hypothenus = 100 kg

Opposite = T₁ =?

Sine θ = Opposite /Hypothenus

Sine 30 = T₁ / 100

Cross multiply

T₁ = 100 × Sine 30

T₁ = 100 × 0.5

T₁ = 50 Kg

Multiply by 10 to express in Newton

T₁ = 50 × 10

T₁ = 500 N

2. Determination of T₂

Angle θ = 60

Hypothenus = 100 kg

Opposite = T₂ = ?

Sine θ = Opposite /Hypothenus

Sine 60 = T₂ / 100

Cross multiply

T₂ = 100 × Sine 60

T₂ = 100 × 0.8660

T₂ = 86.6 Kg

Multiply by 10 to express in Newton

T₂ = 86.6 × 10

T₂ = 866 N
