Answer:

8.42 mL

Explanation:

For the equivalence point for the reaction of an acid and base , is given by the following formula -

M₁V₁ = M₂V₂

where ,

M₁ = acid's concentration ,

V₁ = acid's volume ,

M₂ = base's concentration ,

V₂ = base's volume .

from , the question ,

M₁  = 0.102 M ( acid )

V₁ = 10.0 mL  ( acid )

M₂ = 0.121 M ( base )

V₂ = ?

To calculate the volume of the base , the above formula is used and the respective values are substituted , as follow -

M₁V₁ = M₂V₂

0.102 M *  10.0 mL = 0.121 M * V₂

V₂  = 1.02 / 0.121 = 8.42 mL

What effect do ocean and wind currents have on land temperatures?
Oksanka [162]

Answer:

Ocean currents act much like a conveyor belt, transporting warm water and precipitation from the equator toward the poles and cold water from the poles back to the tropics. Thus, ocean currents regulate global climate, helping to counteract the uneven distribution of solar radiation reaching Earth's surface.

A bar of gold is 5.0mm thick, 10.0cm long and 2.0cm wide. It has a mass of exactly 193.0g. What is the desity of gold?
Tanzania [10]

Answer:

19.3 g/cm³

Explanation:

Density of a substance refers to the mass of the substance per unit volume.

Therefore, Density = Mass ÷ Volume

In this case, we are given;

Mass of the gold bar = 193.0 g

Dimensions of the Gold bar = 5.00 mm by 10.0 cm by 2.0 cm

We are required to get the density of the gold bar

Step 1: Volume of the gold bar

Volume is given by, Length × width × height

Volume =  0.50 cm × 10.0 cm × 2.0 cm

             = 10 cm³

Step 2: Density of the gold bar

Density = Mass ÷ volume

Density of the gold bar = 193.0 g ÷ 10 cm³

                                      = 19.3 g/cm³

Thus, the density of the gold bar is 19.3 g/cm³
