A car enters a freeway with initial velocity of 15.0 m/s and with con stant rate of acceleration, reaches a velocity of 22.5 m/s

in a time interval of 3.50 s. a) Determine the value of the car's acceleration. b) Determine the distance traveled by the car in this 3.50 s time interval. c) Determine the average velocity of the car over this 3.50 s time interval.

Answer:

a) The acceleration is 2.14 m/s^{2}

b) The distance traveled by the car is 65.61 m

c) The average velocity is 18.75 m/s

Explanation:

Using the equations that describe an uniformly accelerated motion:

a) a=\frac{v_f - v_o}{t} =\frac{22.5m/s - 15.0 m/s}{3.50s}

b) d= d_0 + v_0 t + \frac{1}{2} a t^{2} = 0 +15.0 x 3.5 + \frac{2.14x3.50^{2} }{2} = 65.61 m

c) v_m =\frac{d}{t}=\frac{65.61}{3.5}  =18.75 m/s

An aqueous stagnant layer that overlies the apical membrane and the subepithelial blood flow are potential barriers to the absorption of drugs that readily penetrate the absorbing cell of the epithelium. The apical, basal, and basement membranes are potential barriers to the absorption of less permeable drugs.

Based on the simple blackbody radiation model described in class, answer the following question. The planets Mars and Venus have
Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer:

The extent of greenhouse effect on mars is G_m = 87 K

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

     The albedo value of Mars is  A_1 = 0.15

      The albedo value of Mars is  A_2 = 0.15

       The surface temperature of Mars is  T_1 = 220 K

        The surface temperature of Venus is  T_2 = 700 K

          The distance of Mars from the sun is d_m = 2.28*10^8 \ km = 2.28*10^8* 1000 = 2.28*10^{11} \  m

          The distance of Venus from sun is  d_v = 1.08 *10^{8} \ km = 1.08 *10^{8} * 1000 =  1.08 *10^{11} \ m

       The radius of the sun is R = 7*10^{8} \ m

        The energy flux is   E = 6.28 * 10^{7} W/m^2

The solar constant for Mars is mathematically represented as

          T = [\frac{E R^2 (1- A_1)}{\sigma d_m} ]

Where \sigma is the Stefan's constant with a value  \sigma = 5.6*10^{-8} \ Wm^{-2} K^{-4}

So substituting values

         T = \frac{6.28 *10^{7} * (7*10^8)^2 * (1-0.15)}{(5.67 *10^{-8}) * (2.28 *10^{11})^2)}

          T = 307K

So the greenhouse effect on Mars is

           G_m =  T -  T_1

           G_m =  307 - 220

          G_m =  87 K

Kamal, Kamala, Krishna invert a sum of RS= 30,000 on a business in the ratio 2 : 3 : 5. Find the each of their investment.
Crazy boy [7]

Here's the <em><u>solution</u></em>,

Let the <em><u>shares</u></em> be 2x, 3x and 5x according to their shared <em><u>investment</u></em> ratio,

now, we know :

=》2x + 3x + 5x = 30000

=》10x = 30000

=》x = 3000

So, value of x = 3000

hence, the <em><u>share</u></em> of each <em><u>shareholder</u></em> is :

  • kamal = 2x = 6000
  • kamala = 3x = 9000
  • Krishna = 5x = 15000

i hope it helped.....
