We know, Surface area of a cone = πr² + πrl
s = 3.14 * (14)² + 3.14 * 14 * 50
s = 615.44 + 2198
s = 2813.44 m²

In short, Your Answer would be Option C

Hope this helps!

Answer:

2813 sq.m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Height of cone = 48 m

Diameter of cone = 28 m

Radius of cone = \frac{Diameter}{2} = \frac{28}{2}=14 m

Slant height l = 50 m

Total Surface area of cone = \pi r l +\pi r^{2}

                                              = 3.14 \times 14 \times 50 +3.14 \times 14^{2}

                                              = 2198 +615.44

                                              = 2813.44 m^2

Thus the surface area of the cone to the nearest whole number is 2813 sq.m.

Hence Option C is correct.

A store owner pays $1,200 each month for rent to pay the clerk who works in the store $15 an hour the clerk works 60 hours each
Anna11 [10]
So for this problem the equation would be y=15x+1200
x, being the number of hours the store clerk works is 60. You then multiply 15x60 and get 900. 900 hours + 1200 rent is 2100 total. So A. :)

The formulas below are the cost and revenue functions for a company that manufactures and sells small radios. a. Use the formula
Rus_ich [418]

Answer:

a) P(x)=14x-224,000 and b) P(21,000)=70,000.

Step-by-step explanation:

a.) Use the formulas shown to write the company's profit function, P, from producing and selling x radios.

The company's profit is given by its revenue minus the production cost. Then, the profit function P(x) will be given by

  1. P(x)=R(x)-C(x)=46x-(224,000+32x)=14x-224,000.

b.) Find the company's profit if 21,000 radios are produced and sold

To obtain the company's profit we just need to substitute the value given (x=21,000) in the formula 1). Therefore,

P(21,000)=R(21,000)-C(21,000)=14(21,000)-224,000=70,000.
