Fuel cells have been developed that can generate a large amount of energy. For example, a hydrogen fuel cell works by combining

hydrogen and oxygen gas to produce water and electrical energy. If a fuel cell can generate 10.0 kilowatts of power and the current is 15.8 amps, what is the voltage of the electricity?

Use the equation P=VI.
P=power (in this case 10 kilowatts or 10000 watts)
V=voltage (in this case unknown)
I=current (in this case 15.8 amps)
rewrite the equation to be V=P/I
V=(10000 watts)/(15.8 amps)
V=632.9 volts
(I think the equation requires the units for power to be watts so you need to convert kilowatts into watts)

Enzymes in your body act as a catalyst. Thus the role of enzymes is to
Arturiano [62]

Answer:

o increase the rate of chemical reaction

Explanation:

Enzymes are chemical catalysts that speed up chemical reactions by lowering their activation energy. Enzymes have an active site with a unique chemical environment that fits particular chemical reactants for that enzyme, called substrates. Enzymes and substrates are thought to bind according to an induced-fit model.

What is the molality of nitric acid in a concentrated solution of nitric acid (68.0% HNO3 by mass)? (a) Outline the steps necess
RoseWind [281]

Answer:

33.8 m

Explanation:

(a) We want to know the molality of nitric acid in a concentrated solution of nitric acid (68.0% HNO₃ by mass).

Step 1: Determine the mass of HNO₃ and water in 100 grams of solution.

Step 2: Convert the mass of HNO₃ to moles.

Step 3: Convert the mass of water to kilograms.

Step 4: Calculate the molality.

(b)

Step 1

In 100 g of solution, there are 68.0 g of HNO₃ and 100 g - 68.0 g = 32.0 g of water.

Step 2

The molar mass of HNO₃ is 63.01 g/mol. The moles corresponding to 68.0 g are:

68.0 g × (1 mol/63.01 g) = 1.08 mol

Step 3

The mass of water is 32.0 g = 0.0320 kg

Step 4

The molality of HNO₃ is:

m = moles of solute / kilograms of solvent

m = 1.08 mol / 0.0320 kg

m = 33.8 m

Hitman42 [59]

Answer:

Molar masses of X and Z

Explanation:

To determine the mole percent of a mixture ( mole percent of unknown metals = number of mole of each of them divided the total of both the unknown salt × 100) since the percent by mass is know; we the molar mass of X and  Z

mole = mass given / molar mass
