The bonds that hold atoms together to form molecules are called covalent bonds. They are pretty tough and not easily made or broken apart. It takes energy to make the bonds and energy is released when the bonds are broken. Trees take light and use it to make bonds between carbon atoms and molecules of cellulose. I hope this helps:)

Answer:

A hydrogen bond

Explanation:

A hydrogen bond is a weak bond between two molecules resulting from an electrostatic attraction between a proton in one molecule and an electronegative atom in the other.

Outline how fresh water could be extracted from salt water if fresh water was no longer available.
leva [86]

You can boil the salt water. The water will evaporate while the salt will be left behind because it's a solid. Salt has a much higher boiling point than water (2,575° F), so that's why it won't evaporate with the water.

How much energy is required to raise the temperature of a 300.0
Montano1993 [528]

Answer:

Q = 1455.12 Joules.

Explanation:

Given the following data;

Mass = 300 grams

Initial temperature = 22.3

Final temperature = 59.9°C

Specific heat capacity = 0.129 J/gºC.

To find the quantity of energy;

Q = mcdt

Where,

Q represents the heat capacity.

m represents the mass of an object.

c represents the specific heat capacity of water.

dt represents the change in temperature.

dt represents the change in temperature.

dt = T2 - T1

dt = 59.9 - 22.3

dt = 37.6°C

Substituting the values into the equation, we have;

Q = 300*0.129*37.6

Q = 1455.12 Joules.

Draw the structure for the ring compounds with formulas C6H12 and C6H6
GenaCL600 [577]
The first compound C6H12 is cyclohexane and the other compound C6H6 is benzene. They are both aromatic compounds. Cyclohexane does not have double bonds in its ring while benzene has three double bonds in its ring. This is why the formula for cyclohexane contains 12 carbon atoms while benzene only has 6.
