A person carries a plank of wood 2 m long with one hand pushing down on it at one end with a force F1 and the other hand holding

it up at 50 cm from the end of the plank with force F2. If the plank has a mass of 20 kg and its center of gravity is at the middle of the plank, what are the forces F1 and F2?

Answer:

F1= 196 N

F2= 392 N

Explanation:

Given:

length of the plank = 2 m

mass of the plank = 20 kg

Weight of the plank = 20 x 9.8 =196 N

Torque due to the weight of the plank with respect to the pivoted end (i.e the end held by the hand) Counter clockwise torque  = 196 x cog of wood

= 196 x 1 = 196 Nm

Clockwise torque = F2 x 0.5

for the balanced case

F2 x 0.5 = 196

F2 = 196/ 0.5

F2= 392 N

now,

the net force

Net downward force  =Net upward force

F1 + weight of plank = F2

F1 + 196 = 392N

F1 = 392 – 196

F1= 196 N

If a string vibrates at the fundamental frequency of 528 Hz and also produces an overtime with a frequency of 1,056 Hz this over
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]
I have a hunch that you're not talking about overtime
OR overtune.  I think you're going for overtone .

For a fundamental frequency of 528 Hz,
1,056 Hz is the second harmonic.

Answer:

The angular acceleration of CD player is 13.93\ rad/s^2.

Explanation:

Initial angular speed of a CD player is 0 and final angular speed is 41.8 rad/s. Time to change the angular speed is 3 s.

It is required to find the angular acceleration. The change in angular speed of the CD player divided by time taken is called its angular acceleration. It can be given by :

a=\dfrac{\omega_f-\omega_i}{t}\\\\a=\dfrac{41.8-0}{3}\\\\a=13.94\ rad/s^2

So, the angular acceleration of CD player is 13.93\ rad/s^2.

Will the string broke and why
GaryK [48]
It will most likely break. The frame is 5 newton's and the string can only hold 2.5 newton's.

Charge of uniform density (40 pC/m2) is distributed on a spherical surface (radius = 1.0 cm), and a second concentric spherical
N76 [4]

Answer:

E = K Q / R^2     by Gauss' Law where Q is the  charge enclosed by the surface of revolution and R is the distance from the enclosed charge

Since Q = d 4 pi r^2   where d is the charge density and r the radius of the inner sphere

E = K / R^2 * (4 d pi r^2) = 4 K pi d (r / R)^2 = 4 K pi d * 1/4

E =  9 * 10E9 * 3.14 * 40 * 10E-12 = 1.13 N / C
