I answered a question correctly and someone deleted my answer without giving me any explanation. I don't know why someone would

do that but its really rude. Like someone is trying to help others and you are deleting their answers. What is this??

Answer:

This has happened to me more than you can count. Usually it's because of brainly's policy. If the question or answer is not academically related, or you copied from another source, they'll most likely take it down. But I understand where you're coming from. Sometimes they take it down for no reason! I don't know why they do this, but I am not a big fan of it >:((

According to the data in the figure, find the value of x and y.
drek231 [11]

Answer:

This is a educated guess, but x is 80 and y is 100.

Step-by-step explanation:

My logic here is that the triangles are the same because of all the congruent lines and stuff. But from there, you know that both the right and the left side are 40 degrees. You know the total degree of a triangle is 180 so 180 - 40 - 40 is 100. So the final angle is 100. If you look at x, its on the outside, but on a line. If you can imagine a circle, its half, so its a 180 degrees total. Then its 180 = x + 100. So x is 80. And then by that same logic its y = 100.

I need the answer :(
madreJ [45]

Answer:

z = 62

y = 117

Step-by-step explanation:

Z

118 and z are supplementary.

z + 118 = 180 Supplementary angles add to 180. Subtract 118 from both sides.

z = 180 - 118  Do the subtraction

z = 62            Answer

Y

The interior angles of all quadrilaterals (convex) add up to 360 degrees.

y + z + 84 + 97 = 360           Given

62 + y + 84 + 97=360          Add

y + 243 = 360                       Subtract 243 from both sides

y = 360 - 243                        combine

y = 117                                    Answer
