Answer:

protons and neutrons

Explanation:

An atom is said to be the simple units of matter and basic of describing elements structure. An atom of an element have protons , neutrons and electrons.

The protons and neutrons of an atom are usually located in the nucleus of an atom. The sum of the proton and neutron of an atom determines the atomic mass of an element. This means the proton and neutron plays a major role in determining the mass of an atom. The proton is usually positively charge and tends to repel each other in the nucleus of an atom. The neutron has no charge but usually possess more weight than the proton.

The electron is located at the outer parts of the atom. it usually revolve round the atom . The electron determines how the atoms of an elements bond with other atoms. For an electronic neutral charge of any atom the proton number is equal to the electron number.

The picture above illustrate how the proton, neutron and electron reside in the atom.

What product or ratio of properties remains constant (PxT, TxV, P/V, V/T, etx)?When you have decided, label the "constant?" colu
Naddika [18.5K]

Answer:

In this phenomenon we talk about ideal gases, that is why in these equations the constant is the number of moles and the constant R, which has a value of 0.082

Explanation:

The complete equation would have to be P x V = n x R x T

where n is the number of moles, and if it is not clarified it is because they remain constant, as the question was worded.

On the other hand, the symbol R refers to the ideal gas constant, which declares that a gas behaves like an ideal gas during the reaction, and its value will always be the same, which is why it is called a constant. The value of R = 0.082.

The ideal gas model assumes that the volume of the molecule is zero and the particles do not interact with each other. Most real gases approach this constant within two significant figures, under pressure and temperature conditions sufficiently far from the liquefaction or sublimation point. The real gas equations of state are, in many cases, corrections to the previous one.

The universal constant of ideal gases is not a fundamental constant (therefore, choosing the temperature scale appropriately and using the number of particles, we can have R = 1, although this system of units is not very practical)

Cierto elemento presenta dos isótopos cuyos números de masa suman 110 y cuyos números de neutrones suman 58 ¿Cuál es el número a
Anettt [7]

Answer:

El número atómico de cada uno de los átomos es 26

Explanation:

El número de masa es la suma de las masas del protón y el neutrón de un átomo.

El número atómico es el número de protones en el átomo.

Los parámetros dados son;

La suma del número másico de ambos átomos = 110

La suma de los neutrones = 58

Por lo tanto, sea el número de protones y neutrones en un isótopo = P₁ y N₁ y el número de protones y neutrones en el otro isótopo = P₂ y N₂

Tenemos;

 P₁ + N₁ + P₂ + N₂ = 110

N₁ + N₂ = 58

Por lo tanto;

P₁ + P₂ = 110 - (N₁ + N₂)

P₁ + P₂ = 110 - 58 = 52

Dado que los isótopos son del mismo elemento, sus protones serán iguales, por lo tanto;

P₁ = P₂

P₁ + P₂ = P₁ + P₁ = 2 × P₁

P₁ + P₂ = 52

2 × P₁ = 52

P₁ = 52/2 = 26 = P₂

El número atómico de ambos átomos es el número de protones en el átomo que es 26.

El número atómico del elemento del átomo es 26

If a sample of magnesium with a mass of 35.0 grams reacts with 35.0 grams of oxygen how much magnesium oxide will be produced?
slamgirl [31]

Answer:

58.0 g of MgO

Explanation:

in a perfect world, 70 g, however we don't live in a perfect world

The equation of reaction

2Mg + O₂ --> 2MgO

first find which element is limiting:

35 g x 1 mol/24.3 g of Mg x 2 mol of MgO/ 2 mole of Mg = 1.44 moles of MgO

35 g x 1 mol/32g of Mg x 2 mol of MgO/ 1 mole of O₂ = 2.1875 moles of MgO

This means Mg is the limiting factor, so you will be using this moles to find grams of MgO

1.44 mols of MgO x 40.3 g of MgO/ 1 mol = 58.0 g of MgO
