A father and his daughter are interested in the same baseball game. The father sits next to his radio at home and listens to the

game; his daughter attends the game and sits in the outfield bleachers. In the bottom of the ninth inning a home run is hit. If the father’s radio is 132 km from the radio station, and the daughter is 115 m from home plate, who hears the home run first? (Assume that there is no time delay between the baseball being hit and its sound being broadcast by the radio station). In addition, let the speed of sound in the stadium be 343 m>s.

Answer:

I think it is the daughter

Step-by-step explanation:

only because she is only 115 m away from home plate itself and the father is 132m away which is going to take some for the sound waves to travel and for anyone to hear . Also if you don't believe me, more of an explanation is ...

Kilometers are 1,000 times larger than meters. The meter is the base unit for measuring length or distance in the metric system.

132 km x 1,000 = 132,000m  and 115 is already in meters now i think that is simple enough of an explanation. Your welcome. I know I'm right

Answer:

y=-x-2

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the slope of the line, you can use the slope formula. I did this with (-3,1) and (2,-4) to get: (1+4)/(-3-2). This ends up as -5/5, which simplifies to -1.

next I plugged in the slope and one point into the line equation: y=mx+b. I plugged in (-4)=(-1)(2)+b. This equated to b=-2.

Check Work:

The equation -4=(-1)(2)-2 is true

The equation 1=(-1)(-3)-2 is true
