Recall that the height of an object t seconds after it begins moving when gravity is the only force acting on the object is give

n. h(t)=-16x^2 + v0t + h0. h(t) is given in feet. v0 = initial velocity of object in ft/sec. ho= initial height of object in feet. If the feather is dropped from the top of the bridge 90 feet above a river, how long does it take the feather to reach the water?

That's pretty easy, have a look :

h(t)=−16x2=v0t+h0

v0=0 ft/sec
h0=90 ft

The only thing you need to do is to find t and the problem is solved.

Answer:

Time taken, t = 2.37 seconds

Explanation:

It is given that,

Height of an object at time t is given by :

h(t)=-16t^2+v_0t+h_0

Where

v₀ is initial velocity of object

h₀ is initial height of the object

The feather is dropped from the top of the bridge 90 feet above a river. we have to find the time taken by the feather to reach the water.

At the surface of water, h(t) = 0 and v₀t = 0

So, 0=-16t^2+0+90

t = 2.37 seconds

The feather will take 2.37 seconds to reach the water surface.

An astronaut having mass 320 kg with equipment included is attempting an untethered space walk. The astronaut is initially at re
ExtremeBDS [4]
This can be solved using momentum balance, since momentum is conserved, the momentum at point 1 is equal to the momentum of point 2. momentum = mass x velocity
m1v1 = m2v2
(0.03kg x 900 m/s ) = 320(v2)
v2 = 27 / 320
v2 = 0.084 m/s is the speed of the astronaut

A beryllium-9 ion has a positive charge that is double the charge of a proton, and a mass of 1.50 ✕ 10−26 kg. At a particular in
seropon [69]

Answer:

Magnetic force, F = 3.52\times 10^{-13}\ N

Explanation:

Given that,

A beryllium-9 ion has a positive charge that is double the charge of a proton, q=2\times 1.6\times 10^{-19}\ C=3.2\times 10^{-19}\ C

Speed of the ion in the magnetic field, v=5\times 10^6\ m/s

Its velocity makes an angle of 61° with the direction of the magnetic field at the ion's location.

The magnitude of the field is 0.220 T.

We need to find the magnitude of the magnetic force on the ion. It is given by :

F=qvB\\\\F=3.2\times 10^{-19}\times 5\times 10^6\times 0.22\\\\F=3.52\times 10^{-13}\ N

So, the magnitude of magnetic force on the ion is 3.52\times 10^{-13}\ N.

How does an atom change if all of its electrons are removed?
Alex
<span>The atom becomes positively charged.

When you add electrons to a neutral atom, it is no longer a neutral atom, it has a negative change and is an anion. When you take away electrons from a neutral atom, it is no longer a neutral atom- it becomes a positive atom, and is a cation.</span>
