If there are 28 children and the pencils come in 8, then you will atleast need 4 packages with an extra of 4 pencils

So you will need 4 packages

Lines x and y are parallel.
densk [106]

On the bottom line, the 106 and number 1 make a straight line and needs to equal 180 degrees.

This means number 1 = 180-106 = 74 degrees.

Because x and y are parallel, the top outside angle is the same as number 1.

6x +8 = 74

Subtract 8 from both sides:

6x = 66

divide both sides by 6:

x = 66 / 6

x = 11

Now you have x, replace x in the equation for 7x-2 to find that angle:

7(11) -2 = 77-2 = 75 degrees.

The three inside angles need to equal 180 degrees.

Angle 2 = 180 - 74 - 75 = 31 degrees.

You select a card from a standard shuffled deck of 52 cards. Without replacing, you select another card. Find the probability th
Angelina_Jolie [31]

In a standard shuffled deck of 52 cards, half of the cards are black and half of the cards are red: (26 black cards, 26 red cards).

Since we are interested in pulling a black card first, the probability is 26/52.

Without replacing the card we have chosen, we are left with 51 total cards in the entire deck (25 black cards, 26 red cards).

Now that we want to pull a red card, we know that the probability will be 26/51.

Since we are interested in both events occurring simultaneously, we must multiply the probability of the first by the probability of the second, aka: (26/52) * (26/51)

The answer we are given is 0.2549
