Your answer would be 52.8.

There are two ways to answer this question and both take quite a lot of effort if you do not have access to a calculator.

The first is to convert the fractions into decimals, forming 3.67 and 14.4, and then removing the decimal point to allow you to apply long multiplication. After that, you would divide by 1,000 as there are 3 decimal places in total. The long multiplication would end up being 367 × 144, but it is quite difficult to structure online so I am willing to draw it out if you would like.

The second method is converting the mixed fractions into improper fractions, forming 11/3 and 72/5. Then you would multiply the fractions across to get 792/15, and then divide 792 by 15 to get 52.8. Again, this would take long multiplication of 11 and 72, and then division. These are also difficult to structure online so I can provide images of the multiplication and division if you want.

Either method you use, the answer you get is 52.8.

I hope this helps!

Here is your answer:

3 2/3 = 11/3

14 2/5 = 72/5

11 × 72 = 792

3 × 5 = 15

792/15 divided into 52\frac{12}{15}

12 ÷ 3 = 4

15 ÷ 3 = 5

"= 52 4/5 into a improper fraction is 264/5"

Hope this helps!

You have a part time job. You work for 3 hours on Friday and 6 hours on Saturday. You also receive an allowance of $20 per week.
Svetradugi [14.3K]
$92 - $20 = $72, because we shouldn't take allowance into account
3 + 6 = 9, because that is the total number of hours this person works per week
We should just do this:
72 / 9 = 8
This means that this person earns $8 per hour at his part time job.
