<h2>A  sample of gold (Au) has a mass of 72.04g. Calculate the number of atoms of gold (Au): It is equal to ==2.207 x 10²³ number of atoms </h2>

Explanation:

we can find number of atoms in a given sample by the formula :

Number of atoms = Given mass /atomic mass  x Avogadro's number

or , it can be written as :

Number of atoms = given mass /atomic mass x 6.022 x 10²³

Now in above asked question , the values given are :

Mass of sample of gold = 72.04g

Atomic mass of gold : 196.6

Avogadro's number = 6.023 x 10²³

so, using the above formula we have :

Number of atoms = 72.04 /196.6 x 6.022 x 10²³

= 0.3664 x 6.022 x 10²³

=2.207 x 10²³ number of atoms

Which of the following explains why 1-pentyne has a slightly higher boiling point than 1-pentene? Group of answer choices The C-
nydimaria [60]

Answer:

Correct options: (1) The C-C triple bond in 1-pentyne is more polar than the C-C double bond in 1-pentene and (2) 1-Pentyne is linear while 1-pentene is trigonal planar.

Explanation:

  • 1-pentyne has linear structure due to presence of triple bond. Therefore, 1-pentyne molecule cam come closer to each other as compared to 1-pentene (trigonal planar) and exert more van der waal intermolecular force.
  • Presence of more number of pi-electrons in triple bond makes 1-pentyne more polarizable. Hence van der waal force is more stronger in 1-pentyne as compared to 1-pentene.
  • Van der waal force is not so strong as compared to dipole-dipole force or H-bonding.
  • Therefore 1-pentyne has slightly higher boiling point than 1-pentene.

Correct options: (1) The C-C triple bond in 1-pentyne is more polar than the C-C double bond in 1-pentene and (2) 1-Pentyne is linear while 1-pentene is trigonal planar

Homes in rural areas where natural gas service is not available often rely on propane to fuel kitchen ranges. The propane is sto
hichkok12 [17]

Answer:

t=808.9h

Explanation:

Hello,

In this case, the moles consumed in one our by 4 burners turns out:

n=\frac{165L*1atm}{0.082\frac{atm*L}{mol*K}*298.15K}*4=27.0\frac{mol}{h}

Now, 500 gallons of propane are available and equivalent to the following amount in moles (propane's molar mass is 44g/mol):

n_{available}=500galC_3H_8*\frac{3.785LC_3H_8}{1galC_3H_8}*\frac{0.5077kgC_3H_8}{1LC_3H_8}*\frac{1000gC_3H_8}{1kgC_3H_8}*\frac{1molC_3H_8}{44gC_3H_8} \\n_{available}=21836.9molC_3H_8

Finally, the time for the 4 burners to burn the 500 gallons of propane result in:

t=\frac{21836.9mol}{27.0mol/h} \\\\t=808.9h

Best regards.
