11. Let's assume that Ryan has x stamps, so Charlie has 5x stamps.

Set up the equation:
x + 5x = 1,608
6x = 1,608
x= 268

So Ryan has 268 stamps, and Charlie has 5*268 = 1340 stamps

12. You already calculated how many monitors he sold which is 33.

Multiply : 185 * 33 = $6105

(you might have done something wrong when multiplying :) )

Solve for e.<br> 0.75(8 + e) = 2 - 1.25e
timofeeve [1]

Answer:

e = -2

Step-by-step explanation:

Well to solve for e in the following equation,

.75(8 + e) = 2 - 1.25e

We need to distribute and use the communicative property to find <em>e</em>.

6 + .75e = 2 - 1.25e

-2 to both sides

4 + .75e = -1.25e

-.75 to both sides

4 = -2e

-2 to both sides

e = -2

<em>Thus,</em>

<em>e is -2.</em>

<em>Hope this helps :)</em>

Mrs. Jones is building wooden picture frames. She has 1 5/8 of wood and needs 3/4 for each frame. How many frames can she make w
jonny [76]

Answer:

2\frac{1}{6}\ frames

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

To find out how many frames she can  make with the exiting material, divide 1 5/8 by 3/4

so

1\frac{5}{8}:\frac{3}{4}

Convert mixed number to an improper fraction

1\frac{5}{8}=\frac{1*8+5}{8}=\frac{13}{8}

substitute

\frac{13}{8}:\frac{3}{4}=\frac{52}{24}\ frames

Simplify

\frac{13}{6}\ frames

Convert to mixed number

\frac{13}{6}\ frames=\frac{12}{6}+\frac{1}{6}=2\frac{1}{6}\ frames

An electrician needs to run a cable from the top of a 40-foot tower to a transmitter box located 30 feet away from the base of
grin007 [14]
The cable should be 50 feet.

If you draw the picture, you will see that you have a right triangle.

Let's just use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the hypotenuse (or cable).

30^2 + 40^2 = c^2
2500 = c^2
50 = c

What can you tell about a triangle when given three side lengths?
Genrish500 [490]
Check whether it is possible to have a triangle with the given side lengths for example 7,9,13 then add any two sides and see if it is greater than the other side. Example the sum of 7 and 9 is 16 and 16 is greater than 13
