What happens to the brightness of bulb a when the switch is closed and bulb b lights up?
eimsori [14]
The problem describes the relationship of "bulb a" and "bulb b" to be in connected in series. When the switch is open then no current can flow, on the other hand, when it is closed, current will pass through.

When only "bulb a" is connected to the battery then more current is flowing to "bulb a" causing it to be bright.

Closing the switch would mean that "bulb b" is already included in the circuit and the battery will push small current to flow around the whole circuit. The more bulbs are connected, the harder for the current to flow because the resistance will be very high.

So the light of "bulb a" will be dimmer.

Tech A says that as engines gain miles, the spark plug gap increases, which raises the ignition system’s available voltage. Tech
Ugo [173]

Answer: Tech A is correct

Explanation:

Every vehicle has ignition system and without this system,it will not work. The battery of everything vehicle contain energy that start the vehicle and ignore it to start working. Electrical current move from the vehicle's battery and get to the induction coil, the induction coil increases the voltage in it so that the plug will be ignited. The spark plugs produce fire. The spark plug is connected to the ignition system. Once voltage is produced from the induction coil, electrical impulses move from induction coil to insulated plug wires. The spark plug need a very high voltage from the small voltage battery. Once the high voltage exceed the dielectric strength of the gases, spark jump the gap between the plug's fire end.

A 310-g air track cart is traveling at 1.25 m/s and a 260-g cart traveling in the opposite direction at 1.33 m/s. What is the sp
UNO [17]

Answer:

v_{CM}=0.0732\ m/s

Explanation:

given,

mass of the cart 1, m₁ = 310 g

speed of car 1 , v₁ = 1.25 m/s

mass of cart 2, m₂ = 260 g

speed of cart 2, v₂ = -1.33 m/s

speed of center of mass

v_{CM}=\dfrac{m_1v_1 + m_2 v_2}{m_1 + m_2}

v_{CM}=\dfrac{0.31\times 1.25 +0.26\times (-1.33)}{0.31+0.26}

v_{CM}=\dfrac{0.0417}{0.57}

v_{CM}=0.0732\ m/s

Hence, speed of center of mass of the system is equal to 0.0732 m/s
