Substitution or Elimination.

It's a simultaneous equation ^^; So basically I first look at the number in front of the Y values (if they aren't the same you have to multiply each equation by the other number in front of Y in the second line and vice versa but anyways) you add the two equations if they are the same so: -3x+2y=23 + 5x+2y = -17 which should give you 2x=40 then divide by two to get x put your x answer back into the top or bottom equation (your call ^^;) and then work out what must be the Y value! I really hope this helps! ^^;

Answer:

7 small pillows.

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Let's get rid of the whole parts of fractions -> 1 3/4=7/4, 12 1/4=49/4

2. To find how many pillows she can make divide the available fabric by the amount needed -> (49/4)/(7/4)=49/7=7.

Fill in the blanks to solve this equation (ANSWER QUICK)
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

My answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

  • -14K for the first blank
  • -14K for the second blank
  • -56 for the third blank
  • 4 for the fourth blank

I multiplied -7 by 2. Then I plugged in that number to the first two blanks. Then I subtracted 21 from -35. Then I divided that number by -14.
