How much energy is transported across a

Physics
1 answer:

Explanation:

Let us assume that Z is the energy transported across an area of 1.00 cm^{2} per hour by an electromagnetic wave with an r.m.s speed of 21.5 V/m.

Therefore, first we will calculate the current as follows.

                  I = \frac{E_{rms^{2}}}{c \times \mu_{o}}

                    = \frac{10^{-4} \times 3600 \times (21.5)^{2}}{3 \times 10^{8} \times 4 \times 3.14 \times 10^{-7}}

                    = 0.441 J

Therefore, we can conclude that 0.441 J energy is transported across a given EM wave.

If two persons do the same amount of work , they may have different power ? why ?
iris [78.8K]

Hey there mate :)

Even if two persons are given the same work load, the speed of the work done gets different by the energy of those persons.

No one is sure that he/she can complete the work within the time. He may or may not.

Also, the physical characteristics makes the work different. If one person has so much power to work all day, the other person may not have.

Therefore, <em>even if two persons do the same amount of work , they may have different power</em><em>.</em>

Answer:

The value is  C = 30729\  c

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

  The power rating of the stove is  P = 4.4 KW  = 4.4 *10^{3} \  W

   The duration of its use everyday is t_1  = 70 \ minutes  = 1.167 \ hours

    The rating of the light bulbs is P_2' = 150 W

   The number is n = 7

   The power rating of the total  bulb is  P_2 = 7 * 150 = 1050 \  W

    The duration of its use everyday is  t_2 = 7 hours

    The power rating of miscellaneous appliance P_3 = 1.8 \ KW = 1.8 *10^{3} \  W

    The duration of its use everyday is t_3 = 1 hour

     The power rating of hot water P = 4 KW  = 4 *10^{3} \  W

      The duration of its use everyday is t_4 = 120 \ minutes = 2 hours

Generally the total electrical energy used in 1 month is mathematically represented as

    E = P_1 * t_1 * 30 + P_2 * t_2 * 30 + P_3 * t_3 * 30+ P_4 * t_4 * 30

=>  E = 4.4*10^{3} * 1.167  * 30 + 1050 * 7 * 30 + 1.8 *1 * 30+ 4*10^{3} * 2 * 30

=>  E = 614598  \ W \cdot h

=>   E = 614.6  \  K W \cdot h

Generally the monthly electricity  bill is mathematically represented as

    C = 614.6 * 50

=> C = 30729\  c

Why is it incorrect to say that astronauts are weightlesS in space while orbiting Earth in a space shuttle?
Mamont248 [21]

This is because Gravity exists everywhere in the universe.

<h3>What is Gravity?</h3>

This is the force of attraction which acts on all matters in the universe. Astronauts appear weightless while in orbiting the Earth because the space shuttle and the astronauts are in free fall around it.

They fall at the same rate as the space shuttle which is why the astronauts appear weightless.
