Summary of strong acids and weak bases

Chemistry

The salt of a STRONG ACID and a weak base is acidic. (The strong reactant "wins out", so the solution is ACIDIC.) Alternatively, a reaction between a STRONG ACID and a weak base produces spectator ions plus a weak conjugate acid at the equivalence point, and therefore will be ACIDIC.

A STRONG ACID and a weak base requires an indicator which changes color in the range pH = 4-6.

Titrating a weak base with a STRONG ACID results in  pH < 7 at equivalence point.

How many atoms of H are in 1 mole of NH3
Gnoma [55]

Answer:

Before you use log you have to multiply the answer of 8.66 mol by 6.02⋅1023 by 3 because the answer of 8.66 mol by 6.02⋅1023 gives you the number of ammonia molecules and in each molecules there are 3 hydrogen atoms present.

Answer: The molecular formula will be C_3H_9

Explanation:

Molecular formula is the chemical formula which depicts the actual number of atoms of each element present in the compound.

Empirical formula is the simplest chemical formula which depicts the whole number of atoms of each element present in the compound.

The empirical formula is CH_3

The empirical weight of CH_3 = 1(12)+3(1)= 15g.

The molecular weight = 45.0 g/mole

Now we have to calculate the molecular formula:

n=\frac{\text{Molecular weight }}{\text{Equivalent weight}}=\frac{45}{15}=3

The molecular formula will be=3\times CH_3=C_3H_9

Thus molecular formula will be C_3H_9
