Answer : The number of water molecules are, 7

Explanation :

The given unbalanced chemical reaction is,

Mn^{2+}+NaBiO_3\rightarrow Bi^{3+}+MnO_4^-+Na^+

First we have to separate into half reaction. The two half reactions are:

Mn^{2+}\rightarrow MnO_4^-

NaBiO_3\rightarrow Na^++Bi^{3+}

Now we have to balance the half reactions, we get

Mn^{2+}+4H_2O\rightarrow MnO_4^-+8H^++5e^-     ............(1)

NaBiO_3+6H^++2e^-\rightarrow Na^++Bi^{3+}+3H_2O      ........(2)

Now we have to balance the electrons of the half reactions. When we are multiplying the equation (1) by 2 and equation (2) by 5, we get

2Mn^{2+}+8H_2O\rightarrow 2MnO_4^-+16H^++10e^-

5NaBiO_3+30H^++10e^-\rightarrow 5Na^++5Bi^{3+}+15H_2O

Now we have to add both the half reactions, we get the final balanced chemical reaction.

2Mn^{2+}+5NaBiO_3+14H^+\rightarrow 5Bi^{3+}+2MnO_4^-+5Na^++7H_2O

From the final balanced chemical reaction, we conclude that there are 7 number of water molecules present in this reaction on product side.

Hence, the number of water molecules are, 7

What color is the start of the rainbow?
zheka24 [161]

Rainbows go in the order of ROYGBIV, which is an acronym for red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.

So, it would start off with red.

If you want to know why it starts off the rainbow, its because red has the longest wavelength, compared to the rest of the colors. (sorry I'm rambling, I got excited)

Hope this helps.

Which of these correctly describes the energy that makes the carousel turn
Dmitrij [34]

Answer:

F

Explanation:

A carousel can be made to rotate using different sources of energy.  One may decide to use electric energy, manual effort, water energy or heat energy as in a candle carousel.

When the candle is lit, heat energy is supplied and warm air rises heating up the air near the carousel eventually causing it to start rotating.

Hence heat from the candle leads to a current of warm air that rises up, causing the carousel to start rotating.

The psychical properties do no change the composition of the lithium metal.

The chemical properties will change the composition of the lithium producing other substances.

light enough to float on water - physical property

silvery gray in color - physical property

changes from silvery gray to black when placed in moist air - chemical property

(in air the lithium will react with the oxygen forming the oxide which have a black color)

can be cut with a sharp knife - physical property

in the liquid state, it boils at 1317 °C - physical property

reacts violently with chlorine to form a white solid - chemical property

in the liquid state, it reacts spontaneously with its glass container, producing a hole in the container - chemical property

burns in oxygen with a bright red flame - chemical property
