Answer:

5.7 grams is the mass carbon dioxide gas inside a 3.0-L balloon.

Explanation:

Using ideal gas equation:

PV = nRT

where,

P = Pressure of carbon dioxide gas = 1.0 atm

V = Volume of carbon dioxide gas = 3.0 L

n = number of moles of carbon dioxide gas = ?

R = Gas constant = 0.0821 L.atm/mol.K

T = Temperature of carbon dioxide gas =0°C = 0+273= 273 K

Putting values in above equation, we get:

(1.0 atm)\times 3.0 L=n\times (0.0821L.atm/mol.K)\times 273 K\\\\n=0.13 mol

Mass of 0.13 mole carbon dioxide gas :

= 0.13 mol × 44 g/mol = 5.7 g

5.7 grams is the mass carbon dioxide gas inside a 3.0-L balloon.

How much power is used if a force of 54 newtons is used to pull a wagon a distance of 10 meters in 6 seconds? 3,240 W 90 W 32.4
timama [110]
Power is defined in a mathematical expression as P = F x v where F is in N and v is in m/s. From the given equation, the v = d/t which is v = 10/ 6, then substituting the answer to the power formula W = 54 N (10/6 m/s) = 90 Watts.

Describe the structure of a typical metal such as iron ?<br>assaaap
dimaraw [331]

Answer:

Metals consist of giant structures of atoms arranged in a regular pattern. The electrons from the outer shells of the metal atoms are delocalised , and are free to move through the whole structure. This sharing of delocalised electrons results in strong metallic bonding .

Concentrated nitric acid(HNO3) contains 70.3% HNO3 by mass. Calculate the volume of concentrated HNO3 needed to prepare 1.15L of
atroni [7]
1) Calculate the number of moles in 1.15 liter of 0.100 M HNO3 solution.

M = n / V => n = M*V = 0.100M * 1.15 l = 0.115 moles

2) Calculate the mass of 0.115 moles of HNO3

mass = number of moles * molar mass

molar mass of HNO3 = 1.00 g/mol + 14.0 g/mol + 3*16.0g/mol = 63.0 g/mol

mass = 0.115 mol * 63.0g/mol = 7.245 g

3) Calculate the mass of 70.3% HNO3 solution that contains 7.245 grams of  HNO3

% = (mass of solute / mass of solution) * 100

=> mass of solution = mass of solute * 100 / % = 7.245 g * 100 / 70.3%

mass of soltuion = 10.3 g.

4) Convert 10.3 grams of HNO3 solution into volume, using density, D

D =mass / Volume => Volume = mass / D

=. Volume = 10.3 g / 1.41 g/cm^3 = 7.30 cm^3

Answer: 7.30 cm^3
