It is well established that the thermal efficiency of a heat engine increases as the temperature TL at which heat is rejected fr

om the heat engine decreases. In a effort to increase the efficiency of a power plant, somebody suggests refrigerating the cooling water before it enters the condenser, where heat rejection takes place. Would you be in favor of this idea? Why?

Answer: No, not in favor of the idea.

This is because, an increase in the refrigerator's work output is equal to work input. In real live application, the work input of the refrigerator is always greater than the additional work output. This will result to reducing the efficiency of the power plant.

A journeyman electrician with 16 years experience on-the-job was removing metal fish tape from a hole at the base of a metal lig
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Answer: He should have ensured the following before beginning work;

1) All circuits must be de-energized before beginning work

2) All controls must be deactivated during work. LOTO(Log out tag out) must be practiced irrespective of the experience of the electrian or worker.

3) Technicians and Electrical workers must be instructed to know the unsafe conditions associated with their work.

Explanation:

We cannot assume that because he is experienced he cannot be prone to all this wrong practices. Humans tend to think that with experience people become less prone to errors and study has shown that this is not true. Safety must be a priority.

Which test element is used to apply test execution settings for the main business flow excluding Login and Log out 1) Run time c
Svet_ta [14]

Test element is used to apply test execution settings for the main business flow excluding Login and Log out is "Transaction  controller"

<u>Explanation:</u>

Transaction controllers are a technoscientifically kind of controllers that produce an additional sample that measures the overall time is taken or response time to perform its nested samplers.

The Controller has two checkboxes, those are

1.Generate Parent Samples

2. Include term of the timer and pre-post processors in the produced sample - It is the time which involves all processing samples within the Transaction controller, not just the HTTP samples. In Case one sample is lost or crashed then the entire Transaction Controller will fail. In case anyone sample assertion is failed then the complete Transaction Controller will fail.

followed by the HTTP GET

message to the “utopia.poly.edu"

web server:

> telnet utopia.poly.edu 80

As the index.html page in the web

server was not modified since

Mon, 18 May 2015 09:23:34GMT,

the following outputwas displayed

when the above commands were

issued on Sat, 23 May 2015.

The first 4 lines are the GET

message and header lines input by

the user.

The next 4 lines (starting from

HTTP/1.1 304 Not Modified) are

the response from the web server.

Explanation:

File is also attach which might help to explain the answer.

Which of the following is the LEAST-Likely cause of tire wear? A) Underinflation B) Braking C) Acceleration D) Tire rotation
mihalych1998 [28]

Answer:

Tire rotation is the least likely cause of tire wear. So, the option D is correct.

Explanation:

Step1

Under-inflation is the process of tire failure under low pressure. This contributes the wear on tire.

Step2

On breaking, kinetic energy changes to heat energy because of rubbing of tire. So, rubbing action increases the wear on the tire.

Step3

Acceleration on the vehicle increases the rubbing action as well as the wear and tear on the tire. So, acceleration is an also a major cause of tire wear.

Step4

Tire rotation has least amount of wear and tear due to no rubbing action.  It has less amount surface contact with the surface in rotation.

Thus, tire rotation is the least likely cause of tire wear. So, the option D is correct.
