Answer:

The answer is explained below

Explanation:

Put the steps of the carbon cycle in order using Step 1 as your starting point

Step 1: Bacteria, through nitrogen fixation and nitrification, convert nitrogen into a usable form. The animal dies and decomposes, returning nitrogen back to the soil. Once nitrogen is in usable form, it is taken up by plants and assimilated into proteins.. An animal eats a plant and the nitrogen becomes part of the animal’s proteins.

The steps taking in the carbon circle using step 1 as the starting point is as follows:

Step 1:  Bacteria, through nitrogen fixation and nitrification, convert nitrogen into a usable form.

Bacteria convert nitrogen into nitrites and nitrates through the process of nitrification. Nitrites and nitrates are in the form that can be used by the plants

Step 2: Once nitrogen is in usable form, it is taken up by plants and assimilated into proteins.

The Nitrogen can only be used by the plants when in nitrites and nitrates form. When in this form, it is then assimilated into plant tissue as protein.

Step 3: An animal eats a plant and the nitrogen becomes part of the animal’s proteins.

An animal such as rabbit eats the plant and the protein in the plant becomes protein in the animal.

Step 4: The animal dies and decomposes, returning nitrogen back to the soil.

When the animal dies, the animal undergoes decomposition and the nitrogen in the animal is returned to the soil

HELP! An atom of vanadium
Zigmanuir [339]

An atom of vanadium (V)  has 23 electrons.

Given :

A vanadium (V) atom with 23 protons and has a net charge of 0.

To find:

The number of electrons in a vanadium atom

Solution:

Number of protons in vanadium atom = 23

The 0 net charge on the atom indicates that the atom has an equal number of protons and electrons which makes it a neutral atom.

Number of electrons in vanadium atom = Number of protons in vanadium atom = 23

An atom of vanadium (V)  has 23 electrons.

The reaction: 2 SO2(g) + O2(g) --> 2 SO3(g) has an equilibrium constant of K1. What is the K value for the reaction: SO3(g) -
Murljashka [212]

<u>Answer:</u> The value of equilibrium constant for reverse reaction is (\frac{1}{K_1})^{1/2}

<u>Explanation:</u>

The given chemical equation follows:

2SO_2(g)+O_2(g)\rightarrow 2SO_3(g)

The equilibrium constant for the above equation is K_1

We need to calculate the equilibrium constant for the reverse equation of above chemical equation, which is:

SO_3(g)\rightarrow SO_2(g)+\frac{1}{2}O_2(g)

The equilibrium constant for the reverse reaction will be the reciprocal of the initial reaction.

If the equation is multiplied by a factor of '\frac{1}{2}', the equilibrium constant of the reverse reaction will be the 1/2 power of the equilibrium constant  of initial reaction.

The value of equilibrium constant for reverse reaction is:

K_{eq}'=(\frac{1}{K_1})^{1/2}

Hence, the value of equilibrium constant for reverse reaction is (\frac{1}{K_1})^{1/2}
