In the question it is given that the length of the blue lake trail is 11 3/8 miles. In the question it is also given that Gemma has hiked for a total time of 3 hours and each hour she has hiked 2 1/2 miles.
Now coming to solving the problem we get:
Total length of blue lake trail = 11 3/8 miles
                                             = 91/8 miles
Distance hiked by Gemma in 1 hour = 2 1/2 miles
                                                           = 5/2 miles
Then the total distance hiked by Gemma in 3 hours = (5/2) * 3
                                                                                   = 15/2 miles
The distance left to cover the full trail = (91/8) - (15/2) miles
                                                            = (91 - 60)/8 miles
                                                             = 31/8 miles
                                                             = 3 7/8 miles.
So Gemma is 31/8 miles or 3 7/8 miles from the end of the trail.

x,y, and z to the nearest tenth .(hint: use altitude and leg rules) PLEASE HELP FAST !!! please solve and show steps
madreJ [45]

Use the Pythagorean theorem to find z:

z = √(6^2 + 9^2)

z= √(36 + 81)

z = √117

z = 3√13 = 10.8

Use leg rule to find x:

x/6 = 6/9

Cross multiply:

9x = 36

Divide both sides by 9:

x = 36/9

x = 4

Use Pythagorean theorem to find y:

y = √(6^2 + 4^2)

y= √(36 + 16)

y = √52

y = 2√13 = 7.2

WILL MARK BRAINLIEST PLS HELP
Wittaler [7]

Answer:

209.96

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that the circumference of the circle is equal to

C = \pi D

we have

D = 64 ft

substitute would be

C = \pi (64) = 64\pi ft

assume that \pi = 3.14

6464\pi  = 64 * 3.14 = 200.96 ft

Distance between (-3,1) (1,5)
Mamont248 [21]

Answer & Step-by-step explanation:

For this problem, we will use the distance formula.

d=\sqrt{(x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2}

For our (x1, y1), we will use (-3, 1). For our (x2, y2), we will use (1, 5). Now let's plug in our numbers and solve the problem.

d=\sqrt{(1-(-3))^2+(5-1)^2}

d=\sqrt{4^2+4^2}

d=\sqrt{16 + 16}

d=\sqrt{32}

d=5.657

So, the distance between (-3,1) and (1,5) is 5.657 units.

You deposit $300 in a savings account that pays 6% interest compounded semiannually. How much will you have at the middle of the
Otrada [13]

Answer:

Please check the explanation.

Step-by-step explanation:

a)  How much will you have at the middle of the first year?

Principle P = $300

Annual rate r = 6% = 0.06 per year

Compound n = Semi-Annually = 2

Time (t in years) = 0.5 years

Total amount = A = ?

Using the formula

A\:=\:P\left(1+\frac{r}{n}\right)^{nt}

substituting the values

A=300\left(1+\frac{0.06}{2}\right)^{\left(2\right)\left(0.5\right)}

A=300\cdot \frac{2.06}{2}

A=\frac{618}{2}

A=309 $

Therefore, the total amount accrued, principal plus interest,  from compound interest on an original principal of  $ 300.00 at a rate of 6% per year  compounded 2 times per year  over 0.5 years is $ 309.00.

Part b) How much at the end of one year?

Principle P = $300

Annual rate r = 6% = 0.06 per year

Compound n = Semi-Annually = 2

Time (t in years) = 1 years

Total amount = A = ?

Using the formula

A\:=\:P\left(1+\frac{r}{n}\right)^{nt}

so substituting the values

A\:=\:300\left(1+\frac{0.06}{2}\right)^{\left(2\right)\left(1\right)}

A=300\cdot \frac{2.06^2}{2^2}

A=318.27 $

Therefore, the total amount accrued, principal plus interest,  from compound interest on an original principal of  $ 300.00 at a rate of 6% per year  compounded 2 times per year  over 1 year is $ 318.27.

Write a number in each blank to complete each equation so that it has the requested number of solutions. a. Equation with no sol
Setler79 [48]

Answer:

The answer is  8x - 3x + 2 -x =<u> 4 </u>x + <u>2 </u> .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

8x - 3x + 2 -x = __ x + __

Now, to write a number in each blank to complete each equation so that it has the requested number of solutions.

So, to solve the equation:

8x-3x+2-x

So, we add  the variables:

5x+2-x

And, then subtract it:

4x-2.

Thus, it remains:

4x-2.

So the complete equation is:

8x - 3x + 2 -x =<u> 4 </u>x + <u>2 </u>

Therefore, the answer is  8x - 3x + 2 -x =<u> 4 </u>x + <u>2 </u> .
