It’s b because negative 9 turns into positive 9 to cancel out the number to isolate variable. Then you also add positive 9 to 15 and that makes 24. But don’t forget about 4x which divide into 4x/4 and 24/4 to again isolate the variable. Then 24/4 = 6

4x - 9 = 15

Add 9 on both sides (-9 + 9 cancels out and 15 + 9 = 24)

4x = 24

Divide by 4 on both sides (4 / 4 cancels out and 24 / 4 = 6)

x = 6

The answer is B

Can someone help me with this?
algol13

Answer: x=12

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that sum of a triangle is 180 degrees

one angle is 90 degree

the sum will be 90+(2x+1)+(5x+5)=180

substract 90 from both sides

2x+1+5x+5=180-90

7x+6=90

7x=90-6

divide by 7

x=12

The pizza shop owner tells Mr. Lopez that 3 jumbo cookies can feed 10 students.
givi [52]

Answer:

j(x) = [ (3/10) cookie/student ]x

Step-by-step explanation:

The "unit rate" here is

3 jumbo cookies

------------------------- = (3/10) cookie/student

       10 students

Then the number of cookies needed to feed x students is

j(x) = [ (3/10) cookie/student ]x
