Answer:

x= 45.46

Explanation:

given,

mean of hospital waiting (μ) = 38.12  min

standard deviation (σ) = 8.63 min

worst waiting time = 20%

the are will be same as the = 100 - 20%

                                             = 80%

we have to determine the z- value according to 80% or 0.80

using z-table

     z-value = 0.85

now, using formula

       Z = \dfrac{x-\mu}{\sigma}

       0.85 = \dfrac{x-38.12}{8.63}

       x-38.12 = 0.85\times {8.63}

       x= 45.46

If an oscillating mass has a frequency of 1.25 Hz, it makes 100 oscillations in
KatRina [158]

Answer:

Time, t = 80 seconds

Explanation:

Given that,

The frequency of the oscillating mass, f = 1.25 Hz

Number of oscillations, n = 100

We need to find the time in which it makes 100 oscillations. We know that the frequency of an object is number of oscillations per unit time. It is given by :

f=\dfrac{n}{t}

t=\dfrac{n}{f}

t=\dfrac{100}{1.25\ Hz}

t = 80 seconds

So, it will make 100 oscillations in 80 seconds. Hence, this is the required solution.

A 12kg cheetah accelerates 24 m/s". What is the force the cheetah needed to run?
Kobotan [32]

Answer:

288N

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass of Cheetah = 12kg

Acceleration  = 24m/s²

Unknown:

Force needed by the cheetah to run  = ?

Solution:

The force needed by the Cheetah to run is the net force.

According to Newton's law;

    Force  = mass x acceleration

Insert the given parameters and solve;

   Force  = 12 x 24  = 288N

What is elasticity in polymer generally related to?
Andrej [43]
The elasticity of a polymer is primarily due to the structure of the molecule and the cross-linking between strands. Hydrogen bonding is a contributor to the shape of the molecule, but not a major player in terms of elasticity. We would have to answer "false".
