Earth's motion around the Sun was neglected; that requires using Earth's "sidereal" period (about four minutes shorter). Notice

that Earth's mass could be found by substituting the Moon's distance and period into this form of Kepler's third law. QUESTION If the satellite was placed in an orbit three times farther away, about how long would it take to orbit the Earth once

Answer:

T = 5.196 T₀

Explanation:

For this exercise let's use Kepler's readings, the third law is

     T² = (4π² / G M) a³

They tell us that

The distance is three times greater

    a₂ = 3a

As the satellite orbits the earth we use the mass of the earth

     M = 5.98 10²⁴ kg

     T² = 4 pi2 / (66.7 10⁻¹¹ 5.98 10²⁴) a₂³

     T² = 9,898 10¹⁴ a₂³

     T² = 9,898 1014 (3 a)³

     T2 = 9.89 1014 a³ 27

     T₀² = 9.89 10¹⁴ a³

     T² = T₀² 27

     T = T₀ √27

     T = 5.196 T₀

The period increases by 5 times

HELP PLEASE I NEED THE ANSWERS FAST (15 POINTS)
ahrayia [7]

Answer: 1) Cold water is more dense and will sink in room temperature water.

2) Cold salty water is denser than warm freshwater.

3) Temperature is the measure of heat. Density is the measure of how closely any given entity is packed or it is the ratio of the mass of the entity to its volume.

4) Salinity and density share a positive relationship. As density increases, the amount of salt in water-also known as salinity- increases.

how would the scientists predict the motion of each of the markers relative to the edges of the valley
larisa86 [58]

To Predict the motion of each of the markers relative to the edges of the valley, Scientists use the Glen-Nye Flow Law.

The Glen-Nye Flow Law is then used to forecast the movement of the markers. Markers are moved and measured in relation to the valley's rim where the glacier moves.

Glaciers are a valuable resource in several places of the world. This is true because glaciers' characteristics and behaviour have an effect on the hydrologic, geologic, and biological processes in their immediate surroundings.

Because of the aforementioned, glaciologists keep an eye on glaciers and attempt to predict how they will move and look.

The usage of markers is one method employed by glaciologists in the observation and forecasting of glaciers.

Mathematical relation is:

∑= krⁿ

Where,

∑= shear strain (flow) rate

r = stress

n = a constant

k = a temperature dependent constant
