According to Galileo's pendulum theory, which factor determines the time taken to swing through one complete cycle?
Lesechka [4]
It depends on the length of the string and the speed its swinging at. If its short then it will reach the full swing in less of a time but if its a longer string then it would take a longer time to make a full swing.

By how many newtons does the weight of a 85.9-kg person lose when he goes from sea level to an altitude of 6.33 km if we neglect
sergejj [24]

Answer:

Weight\ loss=1.6321N

Explanation:

From the question we are told that:

Weight W=85.9kg

Altitude h= 6.33 km

Let

Radius of Earth r=6380km

Gravity g=9.8m/s^2

Generally the equation for Gravity at altitude is mathematically given by

 g_s=9.8(\frac{6380}{6380+6.33})^2

 g_s=9.781m/s^2

Therefore

Weight at sea level

 W_s=9.8*85.9

 W_s=841.82N

Weight at 6.33 altitude

 W_a=9.781*85.9

 W_a=840.2N

Therefore

 Weight loss=W_s-W_b

 Weight loss=841.82-840.2

 Weight loss=1.6321N

1. (15 points) Small cart is rolling down an inclined track and accelerating. It fires a ball straight out of the cannon as it m
Elena L [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

This problem can be solved with the conservation of the momentum.

If the ball is fired upward, the momentum before and after the ball is fired must conserve. Hence, the speed of the ball is the same that the speed of the car just in the moment in wich the ball is fired.

Hence, the result depends of the acceleration of the car. If the change in the speed is higher than the speed of the ball, it is probably that the ball will be behind the car or it will come back to the car.

If the ball is fired forward, and if the change in the speed of the car is not enogh, the ball will be in front of the car.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!
