Answer:

It would make it difficult for you to walk on the floor.

Explanation:

Spilling a bucket of soapy water on a marble floor will significantly reduce the coefficient of friction between the floor and your shoes. In this way, even though your weight puts pressure on the floor, the contact surface between the material of your shoes and the floor won't be enough to safely walk on it without losing stability. The layer of soapy water will become a barrier between the two materials.

What is the speed of a person travelling 30 meters in 5 seconds?
kifflom [539]

Answer:

6\:\mathrm{m/s}

Explanation:

Denote average speed by S=\frac{d}{t} where d is total distance travelled and t is time.

Plugging in given values, we get:

S=\frac{30}{5}=\fbox{$6\:\mathrm{m/s}$}.

Explain how heat transfer is occurring through convection, radiation AND conduction in this picture.
frosja888 [35]

A cup of tea/coffee transfers heat via conduction, convection and radiation.

Conduction:

  • Heat transfer from a coffee to the spoon is in direct contact
  • Inner part of the tea cup against hot liquid will transfer heat to the outer part and saucer.

Convection:

Movement of molecules within the coffee. Hot molecules of the tea at the middle of the drink will be eventually make their way to the outer part of the drink near the tea cup, where they will loose their heat.

Radiation:

Thermal radiation is the loss of heat from a solid object in to atmosphere via the release of electromagnetic radiation. So hot outer edge of the teacup loss the energy to its surroundings via thermal radiation.

You want the current amplitude through a 0.450-mH inductor (part of the circuitry for a radio receiver) to be 1.90 mA when a sin
faust18 [17]

Answer:

Frequency required will be 2421.127 kHz

Explanation:

We have given inductance L=0.450H=0.45\times 10^{-3}H

Current in the inductor i=1.90mA=1.90\times 10^{-3}A

Voltage v = 13 volt

Inductive reactance of the circuit X_l=\frac{v}{i}

X_l=\frac{13}{1.9\times 10^{-3}}=6842.10ohm

We know that

X_l=\omega L=2\pi fL

2\times 3.14\times  f\times 0.45\times 10^{-3}=6842.10

f = 2421.127 kHz
