What are the limitations of the Klmn electronic configuration style of writing
Salsk061 [2.6K]

In the KLMN electronic configuration style of writing K denotes the first shell which can hold up to two electrons, L denotes the second shell which can hold up to eight (2 + 6) or 8 electrons, M denotes the third shell which can hold up to eight (2 + 6 + 10) or 18 electrons etc.

The KLMN style of writing only indicates the number of electrons in each principal quantum number, however the spdf electronic configuration style of writing subdivides each shell into its subshells.

For instance the 3rd principal quantum number has s,p and d subshells, wherein s, p and d orbitals can have a maximum of 2, 6 and 10 electrons respectively.

Determine which compound would raise the boiling point of water the most
Olenka [21]
All of the provided salts will increase the boiling point of water due to Boiling point elevation is considered as one of the colligative properties that only affected by the number of particles present in solution regardless their nature.

All of the choices are considered as electrolytes (ionizes in water) so the one which gives higher number of ions will raise the boiling point the most so the correct answer is A) AlCl₃ due to it ionizes to give 4 ions one Al and 3 Cl while NaCl gives only 2 ions, CaCl₂ gives 3 ions and KBr gives 2 ions

So the correct answer is A) 2.0 M AlCl₃

Determine the electron-group arrangement, molecular shape, and ideal bond angle(s) for each of the following:
Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

The electron group arrangement of CH₂Cl₂ is penta-atomic. The molecular shape is tetrahedral, and the bond angle is 109.5°.

What is the bond angle?

The bond angle is the angle between the atoms of the compound. The bond angle is defined in degree. The bond length is also there. It is the distance between the nuclei of the two atoms.

The bond angle of CH₂Cl₂ is 109.5°. According to the VSEPR theory, as the structure will be tetrahedral.

Thus, the penta-atomic configuration of CH2Cl2's electrons. Tetrahedral is the molecular shape, the bond angle is 109.5°.

Is straining cooked pasta from water a physical or chemical separation
Leviafan [203]
It is a physical separation.

Only chemical separation involves the changing of substances and their bondings, which usually involves the use of heat or electricity. Meanwhile, physical changes does not require breaking the bonds of substances or changing a substance to another, common examples of physical separations are such as filtration or distillation.

Since straining pasta from water does not require breaking the pasta or water to other substances, plus heat and electricity is not involved, therefore this is a type of physical separation.

plz help asap (plz don't give helpless answers) and also ill give brainist to those who answer the questing right
Lera25 [3.4K]
1.) Particle B has a greater kinetic energy because when a particle is at higher temperature it contains more energy.

2.) Diagram B best shows the overflow of heat between the particles. It does because of the enclosed space that it is in and how it will circulate in it.

3.) Heat is transferred between object A and B by having object B (warmer) make a reaction with object A (colder).
