When thinking about an electric circuit, you usually focus not on the motion of individual charges, but rather on the continuous

current (charge per unit time) flowing through the circuit. Thus, rather than considering the work done on a particular charge, it is useful to compute the work done per unit time on the charge flowing through the circuit, or in other words, the power. Find the electrical power PPP delivered to the resistor via the work done on the individual charges passing through it. (Again, this power ultimately appears in the form of heat).

The length of the assembly decreases by 0.006 in. when an axial a- force is applied by means of rigid end plates. Determine
Triss [41]

Answer:

(a) The magnitude of the applied force is (0.0001524k) Newton

(b) Corresponding stress in the steel core = (0.0001524k/area) Newton per meter square

Explanation:

(a) From Hookes law of elasticity,

Force applied = force constant (k) × compression

compression = 0.006 in = 0.006 × 0.0254 = 0.0001524 meter

Force applied = k × 0.0001524 = (0.0001524k) Newton

(b) Stress = Force applied (Newton)/area of steel core (meter square) = (0.0001524k/area) Newton per meter square

Newton’s prism experiments showed that white sunlight is made up of ... A-the full electromagnetic spectrum.. B-only blue light.
8090 [49]

Explanation :

In Newton's prism experiment, a ray of white sunlight is passed to the prism. It is observed that the light gets refracted at different angles and different colors spread.

Sunlight is made up of seven colors. The colors are the same as the colors seen in the rainbow. The colors are :

  1. Violet
  2. Indigo
  3. Blue
  4. Green
  5. Yellow
  6. Orange
  7. Red

So, the correct option is (c) " White sunlight is made up of all the colors of the visible spectrum ".

A train travels 90 kilometers in 1 hour, and then 82 kilometers in 5 hours. What is it’s average speed?
PIT_PIT [208]
Distance is 90km,time 1 hr
distance 2 is 82km,time 5 hrs
average speed=total distance travelled/total time taken.
90+82=172/5+1=6
average speed=28.7km over hour
