Answer : The molecular weight of CO is, 28.01 g/mole

Explanation : Given,

Weight of one mole of carbon = 12.01 g

or, Atomic weight of carbon = 12.01 g/mole

Weight of one mole of oxygen = 16.00 g

or, Atomic weight of oxygen = 16.00 g/mole

Molecular weight : It is defined as the sum of the atomic weight of the element present in the molecule.

The molecular weight of CO = Atomic weight of carbon + Atomic weight of oxygen

The molecular weight of CO = 12.01 g/mole + 16.00 g/mole

The molecular weight of CO = 28.01 g/mole

Therefore, the molecular weight of CO is, 28.01 g/mole

acid-catalyzed hydration of 1-methylcyclohexene gives two alcohols. The major product does not undergo oxidation, while the mino
noname [10]

Answer:

Major product does not undergo oxidation since it is a tertiary alcohol whereas minor product undergoes oxidation to ketone as it is  secondary alcohol.

Explanation:

Hello,

In this case, given the attached picture, the hydration of the 1 methylcyclohexene yields to alcohols; 1-methylcyclohexan-1-ol and 1-methylcyclohexan-2-ol. Thus, since the OH in the 1-methylcyclohexan-1-ol (major product) is bonded to a tertiary carbon (bonded with other three carbon atoms) it is not able to increase the number of oxygen bonds (oxidation) as it already attained the octet whereas the 1-methylcyclohexan-2-ol (minor product) is able to undergo oxidation to ketone as the carbon bonded to it is secondary (bonded with other two carbon atoms), so one extra bond the oxygen is allowed to be formed to carbonyl.

Best regards.

Hello!

A buffer is composed of a weak acid and its conjugate base or a weak base and its conjugate acid. From the given list:

HCl and HF: Strong Acid and Weak Acid. NOT BUFFER

HF and NaF: Weak Acid and Conjugate Base. BUFFER

HC₂H₃O₂ and  KC₂H₃O₂: Weak Acid and Conjugate Base. BUFFER

NaOH and NH₃: Strong Base and Weak Base. NOT BUFFER.

Which factor explains why coal dust in an enclosed space is more explosive than coal dust blown outdoors into an open space ? A.
leonid [27]

Answer:

Option C:- Concentration

Explanation:

Coal dust explosion can cause lots of damage. To avoid

this, the amount or concentration of coal dust per unit

volume or MEC is measured with the various conditions

of coal storage such as the particle size, moisture of coal,

degree of dispersion and delayed time of ignition source

to prevent the coal dust explosion which aims to study

and design the explosion safety measures for coal dust

handing installations. The results present that moisture

content in coal has more effect on dust explosion. The

smaller size of particle, low moisture in coal and high

coal dust dispersion can increase the possibility or risk of

dust explosion.
