Explanation:

Geologic time scale is a system relating stratigraphy, that is geological strata to time. Geologic time scale (GTS) is used for the timing of events that have occurred during Earth's history.

Geologic time is divided into four Eons, they are; the Hadean, the Archean, the Proterozoic, and the Phanerozoic. Archean Eon is the oldest which marks the beginning of the formation of Earth's crust (almost 4 billion years ago). Geologic Time Scale(GTS) was developed because scientists observed changes in the fossils going from oldest to youngest sedimentary rocks.

Zoic means life or living things during the eras in the geologic time scale.
